Zero obstructions 500’ direct line of sight and after 1 month went from great signal and fast speeds to 1 bar and not enough signal for router to work. Stay away from this product!

These point-to-point transmitters should work right out of the box. if you're having problems getting a clean signal, pop the end caps off of transmitters, and make sure the little switch inside is set to either RX or TX. RX is the starting transmitter, TX is the receiving end transmitter. also don't forget to simultaneously press both pairing buttons on the inside of the unit, as to finish pairing transmitters. also like to mention you will need a router on the TX receiving end of the transmitter. Make sure your router is set to bridge mode, in the Internet connection type in your router. open a command prompt on your computer, and ping the IP address associated with router at other end of point to point. (ping 192.168.0.???)if everything works out properly, you should have a decent point-to-point connection with minimal millisecond loss.

Signal just wasn’t strong enough to help boost our Internet.

Needed to give Wi-Fi to steel shed 150 feet from house. Failed common extended/repeater products. This provided a steady (slow) Wi-Fi to my building which I connected to an access point I already had. 60 bucks problem solved. Now I said slow but it is good enough to stream videos. It will do for a shed.Interestingly, the speed did not seem to be a result of distance so I am curious for those who have very long distances. If you need to extend home network to outbuilding I higher recommend unless you are gaming or otherwise needing very high speed.

Installing this set is literally effortless - just plug ethernet cables in, and you have 100% transparent link. Just mind the Rx (vehicle) and Tx (uplink) labels. Ping shows around 3-4 ms, and connection stays solid. I used ssh and Mavlink to a Raspberry Pi on a ground vehicle, the link starts failing at about 100 meters distance. Everything within this range is fine. Your mileage may vary. Beats WiFi hands down outdoors.

I used this for an IP camera that was too far away for wifi and an ethernet cable. Worked fine for a month, then started getting flakey. I had to reset the transmitter side numerous times. Noe the transmitter is completely dead. The return window is closed so I now have a $60 piece of junk. Will never buy again.

I used these units to replace a underground ethernet cable between my house and an outbuilding that seemed to have finally failed. I put one antenna in our attached-to-house garage, mounted to the ceiling, next to the exterior wall, and the other unit on the inside frame of a window of the outbuilding, that faces the garage - this antenna connects directly to the ethernet port of a desktop computer in that outbuilding. So each antenna is inside a building, which I did to hopefully prolong the life versus outside. There's maybe 120 foot of open, unobstructed space between. It worked great out of the box. However, of the 3 'bar' lights on the antennas, I only get 1 bar. They work fine so far, I can stream videos and all, so apparently you don't have to have 3 bars. But I'm kind of skeptical of their 2600 foot claim. Now, I do have each unit inside a building. The one in the garage has to go through drywall, and aluminum house siding. The outbuilding has steel siding - I did try to position the antenna of the outbuilding unit behind the glass of the window, not the siding. But possibly the steel siding might still interfere? So, potentially mitigating factors there. But they're also only about 120 feet apart in my case. So just be aware that metal siding may seriously affect your range. That or they just don't actually have that great of range maybe. Still a very good solution in my case. Ymmv

Worked flawless out of the box. My workshop is metal (Quonset Hut) so I put this just out side and the router inside. I'm getting more than the 10mbps advertised and it is steady. This is more than enough to stream my music, browse the web for answers and run my security camera. There are some others that can get you faster speed, 300mbps+ , but they also cost double.
