I remodeled my back patio and installed additional lighting and a fan. I wanted to be able to turn the lights on and off from inside the house, so this did the trick. It works perfectly and it can be located anywhere you chose without the hassle of hardwiring.

Very happy with this unit. I actually have more than one set, and I can say that they play nicely together. I have not tried to set them up on WiFi, and not likely that I will. We don't have Alexa, we do have Google. I hear that they do not work with Google anyway, but as I say...really not important to us. We actually have lights that are programmed to Google that we do not operate via Google voice anyway. So really not worth the effort to set it up if it did work...for us that is.I have different configurations in different rooms of our home using these. They were first and especially helpful when I was needing to add a switch to a 3-way system, making it a 4-way. By using this instead, I did not need to run extra wiring since the remote is not hard wired.Impressed enough that as I was upgrading some of the lighting in our home, I felt adding dimming ability would be helpful. And by the way, if you dim the light and later turn it off. When you turn it back on again later, it will go back to the last setting. I do like that feature as well.If you are thinking of installing a 3-way or more, you will likely spend as much in 14/3 wire alone as you will using these units. And then the switch can go anywhere you like.Very happy so far and recommend them...so far. I don't know what the life expectancy of the battery is, but our security system uses the same and we get roughly 2-3 years out of them.

It works great. I liked the push connectors so much that I used them to connect all of my lights. Be careful of the wiring. For the USA red hot input is black from socket. The blue output hot goes to black on lights. White three way connect the receiver, input and lights. Then connect your bare grounds all together. I used ROMEX 14/2. The receiver does not have a ground connection. Enjoy.

I had a unique problem where I was trying to outfit an old house with some new switches and wasn't able to because the way the insulation was sprayed in the attic made it impossible to find the wiring and not wanting to run new wire. I decided to go with these remotes witches and they not only save me time, but a lot of money. They work well and are very easy to install.

I rewired a torchlight for a remote setup. It was easy to wire into the light and it works with the remote every time. Also connected through the Alexa app for vice switching. It works 90% of the time although it had to be found a few times to be found by Alexa. It has a dimming function which is a great feature.

The on/off feature worked, but the dimmer would not go up. It was stuck at only outputting about 20 V. It was returned.

i've had dumb versions of these switches, so great to add a switch somewhere there isn't hard wiring. now the dimmer control and smart function of this is SUPER handy.note the combinations of this also, think about getting the two remote or two receiver set for more flexibility. two remote switches on one receiver makes a 3-way switch in a room this wasn't possible before.the only tricky thing I'm finding is WHERE to put the receiver when you're not using a switch box. most ceiling lights don't have 1" of clearance for it. probably a j-box in the wall or ceiling is the way to go.

I wasn't sure if this would work for my needs but was very surprised!!!! Wow is a bit thin but as it's only lighting 4 LEDs, that shouldn't be an issue. Remote unit is small and easily fits into cover above ceiling fan to power the added lights around the fan. Wish this was available a couple decades ago so I didn't need to feed a second line down interior walls.
