This saves me! I hike and cycle and gnats always attack my eyes. This prevents that and doesn't bother my face or sight.

I bought this for a backpacking/canoeing trek to Alaska as I didn't know how bad the mosquitoes would be. They ended up being not too bad most of the time, and I relied on Picaradin repellent most of the time as I didn't particularly like the degradation of sharpness of vision that looking through netting adds. I don't think this particular head net is worse than others, it is just the nature of nets, so I am not taking any stars off for it. If the mosquitoes are really bad and insect repellent isn't working, I wouldn't hesitate to break this out. It is small and light and no problem to carry with me to be prepared.

These are great! We wear them when we work in the woods. They stop the bugs from dive bombing our face!

These nets work great saving us from mosquitoes and deer flies while we walk our dog! We live in northern MN where the mosquitoes and flies are relentless but we don’t like putting bug repellent on our faces …so decided to try these. What I really like is that you can put them on under any hat you want to wear vs. having them already attached to a hat. Good size to cover your head and neck without feeling at all constricted. Well made and the little pouch is a must have so you can put them in a purse or pocket when not in use without fear of them tearing. Great value!

It comes with its own pouch. It's a nice touch when you put it away. Mosquitos are not around in our winter.

We bought nice hats for going on safari but did not want netting permanently attached to the hats. This netting allows us to use our hats with or without the netting. Nets slip over the hat and drape down to below our shoulders. There is a toggle lock on the cord to cinch up the bottom opening. Fine mesh prevents smallest bugs from entering. Black color is best to prevent blocking your view compared to gray or lighter colors. We also sprayed mosquito repellent onto the nets for added layer of bug protection.

Working outside in a muggy, Alabama summer, especially doing something like mowing the lawn or using a weed whacker that kicks up not only detritus, but also bugs can be a challenge to stay comfortable enough to finish the job without having to turn off your equipment to get rid of the bugs on your face. It’s easy enough to put on a long sleeve shirt or a towel around your neck, or jeans and socks and sneakers to keep the bugs off your skin. But how do you do it around your head? Well, I decided to try these mesh nets under my cap that I used to keep the sun off my face, so once I start perspiring, even a little the mosquitoes, the gnats, and whatever other flying things happen to be around, they start coming for skin. Now I’ll grant you, these nets might look a little silly, but they are wonderful. I can actually get through mowing my half acre and using the Weedwhacker along the fence and not have to turn my equipment off except to head to the restroom or to find myself something cold to drink. Some of my neighbors think it looks pretty silly. But that’s OK. I am comfortable. I am bug free. And to me – that makes this product absolutely worth the money. And it wasn’t expensive. So if my nets rip or get damaged in someway – it’s OK by me I’d buy them again in an instant. On top of that they wash nicely too. You can wash them by hand or in your washing machine. I would hang them to dry they get a little crinkly wrinkly when they go in the dryer, especially if it gets too hot in there.
