Holds a wok very steady with the five points. Lifts up off the flame more than necessary on a 14”, it seems made for much smaller woks. Still, it does the job of balancing well.

This is a perfect fit for my 30 year old Thermador gas range, and it's very heavy and well finished. I'm very happy to have it, as I always have felt I needed an extra hand while stir-frying, even with a flat bottomed wok, to hold on to the wok while stirring and adding ingredients. I have three woks of different sizes (10", 12.5", and 14") and this wok ring holds each of them quite securely. No more worries about sending my wok flying!

We've got a KitchenAid gas cooktop. This sits atop the burner and allows use of a round-bottom wok, even a very large one. I'm not aware of any other solution; most wok stands are simply too short. This works perfectly. It's very secure and appears sufficiently strong to withstand naval gunfire.
