This was definitely NOT cotton. However the sueded material is perfect for color weather! You can turn the cap brim upwards, or leave it down to cover your ears. I get lots of compliments on it.

The description isn’t accurate, you can tell that from the pictures though. The outside is suede and the inner lining is a different material. The hat seems to be fine for my sensitivities. It is a bigger slouchy type hat. The inner string to tighten it came right out, but I do have a larger head. You can change the look of the hat by adjusting the brim. I’m spraying it with scotch guard and it should be good to go for any type of weather. It’s an ideal hat for regular wear.

I have always loved wearing hats and I like how they look on me, the problem being, I have a huge cranium and a lot of thick hair besides, so I often struggle to find hats that fit. More often than not, I find myself in the men’s hat section for my head-ware needs, and even at that, I often have issues finding hats that fit. I am particularly attracted to the newsboy style, so this hat caught my eye immediately. When I saw in the reviews that the hat was deemed large, that’s when I knew I had to order it! I ordered the hat in the coffee colour and it came flattened and wrapped in plain, clear plastic.The product listing states the hat is made of 100% cotton, but the hat itself contains no tags whatsoever that state this. That also means that there are no washing instructions included with the hat. The fabric is fairly thick and very soft. The hat is lined with a thinner black fabric that is also soft. Along the inside of the hat above the brim, they have placed a velcro closure so you can adjust the hat’s size somewhat. The brim of the hat is quite large, so it’s great to protect your face from damaging rays of the sun. The seams of the hat itself seem to be sewn fairly well, though the lining did have some loose threads. The bowl of the hat is quite poofy and it takes some patience to adjust it so it sits properly. Once you are able to get the hat to sit like you want it, I think it looks quite nice. I’ve gotten several compliments on it already.While this hat will protect your scalp from the sun’s rays, it will not shield you from rain, sleet or snow, so this isn’t the sort of head-gear you choose to wear in inclement weather. Since this hat may sit loose on smaller heads, you might want to be careful when wearing it on windy days, as well, because it is quite light and will blow off of your head in strong winds. I like that this hat is lightweight because it adds to its comfort…I sometimes forget that I’m wearing it when I have it on.The hat is regularly priced at $24.99 and I find that price fair. At the moment, it’s on sale for $20.98 and I would suggest picking it up now if you are interested in it at all as that is a great price for a hat of this quality. I hope this review has helped you to make the purchasing decision that is right for you.

The shape is odd, but it worked for me. The colour is off, ok, that happens with photos and on line images. But it’s not at all cotton. Not the lining, not the outside. It was weird and slippery feeling.

I loved this hat for funky style. It has an inner draw string so it fits the head snug, often an issue with baggy hats. It's definitely large and baggy so your style has to match it as not to look like Holly Hobby 2024! It is a thick material so definitely for fall or winter
