I also used to buy these with the athletic fit, and unfortunately, Sporthill added material in waist and hips! Now the great pant I used to love doesn't fit my body any longer. What a shame! It used to be the BEST! Wish they would bring back the old cut, or minimally, at least offer it in the size option. Also, the last pair I bought balled up a lot more than the earlier ones.

LOVE THE FIT, BUT THE PROBLEM WITH PICKING UP ANY CAT HAIR STILL NOT SOLVED. I HAVE OWNED3 OR 4 OTHER PAIR OF SPORT HILL PANTS OVER THE LAST 10+ YEARS AND THE LINT PROBLEM HAS GOTTEN MUCH BETTER. I NO LONGER PLAY IN THE SNOW (OVER 70) BUT THESE ARE GREAT AROUND TOWN PANTS THAT DON'T LOOK LIKE SKI PANTS. PERFECT FOR CLIMATES THAT HAVE THOSE COLD DAYSIN THE SPRING WHEN JEANS JUST AREN'T ENOUGH TO KEEP WARM--ALSO THESE ARE PRETTY WIND PROOF FOR WALKS. FOR FIT: I AM 5'6" WEIGHT IN THE 140'S. HESITATED AT THE PRICE...

I have a pair of these cross country ski pants (SportHill) that I bought about years ago and decided I needed to buy another pair while they were still available. They keep me warm, block the wind and are very comfortable. I ski a lot each season and they have been durable and held up well too. I use them for snow tubing as well. Don’t hesitate to buy these cause they are great.

This is not my first pair of Sporthill pants. They’re warm, comfy and my regular leg wear for dog walking duties & other outdoor activities through 3-season, upper Midwest weather. They’re worth every cent!

I bought a large pair of these same pants in 2007 and they fit perfectly. I've worn them every winter for 13 years and love them for cool weather hiking or xc skiing.Then...Sporthill re-designed these with "more room in the hip and a slimmer thigh." If you've been around anyone who weight trains, you know the last damn thing any of us needs is more room in the hip (more room in the butt, yes, but Sporthill seems to be using this as a euphemism for a larger belly area) and a slimmer thigh. Now, here in 2020, I had to buy a medium (my body is the same size it was in 2007) and there is so much extra material around the belly and hips that I can fold the waist over, 90's grunge style. Which makes them almost fit. The "slimmer thigh" just means I have to hike them up every few minutes, over my not-tiny thighs. Overall not only un-flattering, but far less functional.I'm 5'9" and 165 pounds with an athletic build, if this helps anyone else make a decision. If you're an athlete who used to own a pair of these and wants a refresh, I suggest going at *least* one size smaller.
