I bought these hiking shoes for a trip where I was going to go to the summit of a volcano in a Central American country. I needed shoes with good traction, lightweight, comfortable and that would take very little small space in my carry on. I bought these Columbia shoes and they did performed. The hike to the summit was extremely steep with volcanic rocks, the way back was even more treacherous as the terrain is narrow with tons of rocks and ash making it very slippery. These shoes kept my feet steady and firm plus after 5 hours of hiking they were still very comfortable. Columbia is a good outdoor brand and the shoes did not disappointed. I highly recommend them, Excellent shoes! 👍

High quality perfect fit. Great support. I use them for hiking, walking, and everyday wear. They have held up perfectly. Easy to clean, just wipe off and go! Get lots of compliments on these shoes. My feet don't hurt at all. I will buy again.

Love that these shoes look more like trainers than spoddy hiking shoes, but offer the grip, support, toe box and thick sole of hiking shoes. Perfect for summer hiking and dog walking. The UK6.5 is spot on for UK sizing. However, confusingly, this brand equates an EU40 to UK7 (usually EU40=6.5), but that would be too big if you usually take a 6.5/40. In summary- follow the UK sizes- they are correct but EU are wrong!!

I just received these, and I added some arch supports and they feel so good! They are very comfortable with plenty of room in the toe box. They have plenty of cushioning. I have arthritic toes, so room in the toe box and cushioning in the toe area are very important to me. I’ll follow up after I’ve tested them out walking or hiking! I’d say that they are generously sized.Update: I tested these out on a hilly road and they felt a little, sloppy, heavy and big on my feet. Im hoping to use these on a trip with hiking on uneven surfaces. I’m going to try heavier socks and different orthotics.

Was looking for a cheap hiking shoe before our trip to Yellowstone, and these were a great find! We weren't doing any crazy climbs, so I didn't want a pair with high ankle support. These were lightweight and fairly comfortable as a plus sized woman. My feet did hurt by the end of the day, but I'm used to walking max 5 miles a day not 15, so I'm sure that played a part. These ran true to size for me compared to other tennis shoes I normally buy. I went with the light grey color so they wouldn't get as hot and they were cute for a hiking shoe.

The shoes seem really great; I put them on as soon as they arrived and they felt right. I kept them on in the house for the duration of the afternoon and there was no rubbing or slipping. I usually buy a size 8, but got these in an 8.5 to have a little extra room for my bunion and a pair of socks. That turned out to be a Perfect Plan. There's plenty of room in the toe box, so my toes are not squashed, even with socks. I love the awesome gripper soles too! They seem to be a perfect package; I can't wait to take them for a "road-test" and walk a mile or two tomorrow. Great shoes, nice and light--yet substantial!
