I'm a big girl and although these gloves appear very small... they provide plenty of stretch for my hands. I would not consider these velour or velvet although they have a similar feel (well, cheaper feel). They're also very shiny which I don't really care for. Velour does have a certain sheen, but not like these. I like to keep a pair of gloves in each of my coat pockets so I never have to go searching for the one pair most of us have. Black gloves go with most of my coats and jackets. I started wearing these long gloves years ago. They keep my hands warm in our mild winters and also look very sexy when you remove your coat and then take off each glove! I'll keep these but I will also order a nicer, real velour pair. Believe me, you'll know the difference when you compare. I'm giving 4 starts because they are just as stated, made pretty well (although I haven't worn them yet), arrived on time and a clear example of "you get what you pay for". Having said that, I feel they were a good buy.

I have not worn these out yet but I have tried them on. I don't feel I have small hands. The fabric is stretchy but comfortable. I'm excited about wearing them.
