I purchased this thread on recommendation from a couple different YouTube videos about making English Paper Pieced quilts and was warned by one of those videos that this thread is a bit slippery when compared to the more common cotton or polyester threads. And that warning was correct! This thread seems like it has a mind of its own and actively tries to run away from me every chance it gets!But, aside from being a little hard to handle when it's trying to get away from me this thread is pretty awesome. It threads into the needle super easily, ties into a quilter's knot easily, doesn't tangle or knot while I'm stitching, AND it's strong enough that it doesn't break from friction as I'm sewing together the pieces of my quilt.I'm using the copper colored thread from this kit in my quilt because even if I have a "mistake" and accidentally sew a thread into the front of the hexagons instead of inside the seam the copper color isn't totally out of place. My quilt is overall mostly black/white/gray, but it has metallic copper accents in some of the pieces that I've thrown in for visual interest. You can see a "mistake" stitch in the photo near the bottom of that coppery piece as it attaches to the lighter colored hexagon to the bottom right of it.
