This is a well made wooden maze for DWARF ha!stars or small.mice or Gerbils. There is NO way a Syrian hamster will fit. It is made of wood, with no sharp.edges, and has a clear plexiglass/ plastic lid so you can see your pet as they navigate the maze. If I had a smaller hamster, I would be thrilled with this product.

My hamster took right to it! I would say it is suited for the smaller hamsters, I have a Russian dwarf hamster that fits through the holes just fine. I threw bedding over the top to give him more privacy. It is simple to clean, the acrylic top slides in and out for easy clean up! This will definitely last my hamster his lifetime!

I got this for my daughters 3 white mice. They fit great through the openings. The plastic cover is removable, which makes it easy to remove the mice and clean out the poop. Pretty solid mental stimulation for the mice

It looks nice and our mini hamster likes to go inside it, but it is pretty flimsy and it is easily moved around. It does not stay in one place.

My gerbils love these, I have ordered multiple for them to climb on. The metal hanging chains don't allow for them to chew through and the base is thick enough they've never gnawed through the wohle thing. I have replaced the originals but this is because they are untreated wood (good for the gerbils chewing habits, bad for soaking up urine smells).

This product is high quality, but is a but small for my gerbil. He likes to nap there, but not to run around. It would be perfect for a small mouse.
