I like these screws. They've got a nice head that won't pull through the wood very easily. They are coated with what appears to be black paint and I'm unsure how they'll stand up to water but we won't know for a few years. The overall quality is good. I don't think we hit one that was defective. I really, really like the packaging. A simple plastic jar with a screw on lid. We never spilled them. Why can't other companies do this?Overall, I think you'll be happy with these screws.I'd buy them again.

I really like the modified truss heads for my outdoor furniture and arbor construction. Hiding screws or trying to reduce the unsightly look of screw holes is no long a problem. I incorporate the design of the screw head into the project now and this has been a game changer. The modified truss heads look nice and offer a look of quality and heftiness to all my projects now. Really strong and the black coating makes my projects stand out. I always pre-drill to avoid splitting of the wood, but these screws do not need pre-drilling to find there way into the wood. They drill easily and look great. A big plus is the price! Great value for a really good quality screw.

Precision Made Deck and Fence Screws. These outdoor screws are very carefully made, with no bent screws or deformed or off-center torx sockets. The tips are cut to serve as pilot drill, so you won’t need pilot holes, at least not for new and soft wood. The heads are large with a beveled center and a flat outer ring which should keep the boards secure for a long time. All good – so what is the down-side? Years of fence building and repairing tells me to expect lots of splitting wood from the head design. So for me, it’s worth the extra effort to countersink every hole. In fact it’s worthwhile to use a second drill such as my M12 with a countersink bit matching the contour of the screw heads (see pix) before installing each screw. The screws will center in the countersink holes and when you are done you can expect the installation to last without significant wood splits in years to come. It’s worth the extra effort in my view. Given the exception design and quality control, I rate these screws as 5*.

I used these to screw down the flooring to my mobile chicken coop and they worked perfectly for the task. The included bit fits the screw heads as it should. Went through the whole container having none of the heads break off and the bit never stripped. The container is a cool idea but the lid simply spins and spins but, in reality, who cares. These are fairly priced but there are other similar screws available for less money. All in all, I'd have zero problem in using these screws for future projects.

These have a nice heft to them and the machining looks consistent across the length of the screw and between screws. Really nice quality and this is a good price for this type of pan head deck screw.

These screws are great for many outdoor projects including deck builds which is what I used them for. I used these to secure the face boards on a clients deck as the larger head and the nice looking appearance that these screws provided was amazing. First, if you are using these like I did to not only create a pleasing appearance but also secure strength then pre-drill with a countersinking bit so that the head of the screw sits flush with the edge of the board. This does take some extra time but it's well worth it. If you are not concerned with the look aspect then you can just drill these screws without any pre-drilling. Very Easy to install and has a weather resistant coating.

Screws came in a cylinder container with its own bit. And they actually arrived with the container intact. Probably one of the best containers that we have received screws in where it didn't break and actually contained everything perfectly. So was very happy with that. Love that it comes with its own bit so didn't have to search. They are also made so you don't have to have pilot holes. That certainly makes it much quicker to use, not having to switch between two drills constantly. None of the screws stripped with use, and found no defects while using them. Overall, very pleased.

Excellent screws. I'm glad they call them 2-7/8", because they absolutely aren't 3". The included driver works great, and the finish stayed on pretty well without chipping during shipping (one of the primary ways I judge a screw).
