The product page shows these square dowels stacked and a neat pile that makes it look as if they are all perfectly straight. In reality when I received the package they were all loosely packed in a bag, and I don't think any of them are perfectly straight. Perhaps if they were bound together tightly when stored and shipped, they might have held their shape better. Other than that the quality seems okay, but if you're looking for perfectly straight dowels, you're not going to find them here.

I bought the "bulk" pack of 50 1/4" dowels and let me just say I was hesitant to buy offline. I like to check my wood products over before I purchase, but the quality at the local hardware stores and lumber yards has gone way downhill. So far in fact it didn't really give me a choice but to try.Not disappointed!!! Not sure of the species, honestly looks like maple but it's not. Light but sturdy, and most has a tight grain. Ya, sure a few are a little warped or twisted but nothing unusable. These were about the same price when I bought in bulk as they are locally. Will definitely buy again!

I'm very impressed by the quality of these square dowels, and they're a fantastic price compared to the big box stores. They're perfectly square, do not contain a ton of splinters and I have had nothing but great success using these.

As an architect student, these dowels are a great value compared to buying at a hobby lobby or Michaels. They are sturdy and perfect for the models I needed to make. My only issue was that I needed a miniature saw to cut them as they weren’t too easy to cut with a hobby knife or utility knife. This is something not everyone might have on hand, and felt I should mention.Happy crafting!

I'll keep it short and sweet. I found these wooden square dowels to be of excellent quality and contition. I ordered 10 of the 1/4" X 4' foot selection, and they were packaged well, (coming in a rectangle shipping container), and none were broken or damaged in any way. They are of Poplar I believe, and will work well in my On30 model railroad structures and trestles. I've already started using them in building a D&RG style wooden water tank. Great seller and purchase.

My second order from this company, each time, a different size dowel. These are square and only 1/4 inch. Only one was a little splintered, but still very usable. The quality of the products I have received, are amazing, true to size, smooth, consistent color and form. The company has followed up the delivery each time, with an email making sure the customer is satisfied with the purchase. The products are available in a multitude of sizes and lengths. I cannot recommend this company and/or their product enough. And no.. I have never gotten anything free or a discount for my reviews on anything, from anyone. Some companies and products are simply outstanding, and this is definitely one of the few
