I have to give almost full stars for how well put together it is, how well packaged it came, and the fact the measurements are accurate. And yes, it does hold sewing thread spools.BUT, and this is a BIG BUT... it is not for name brands except your Coats&Clark or Gutterman thread spools. Sewing thread from those 2 will fit, but any others outside those 2 brands' sizes and and you will have a difficult time getting them to sit together nicely.If you have embroidery spools, FORGET IT, they will not sit side by side at all. Isacord, Floriani, Richword, literally any embroidery spool will have to skip a peg in order to put them on it, which renders half the product unusable if you get it for those. Which is a downright shame, I would love to have this product made with equitable spacing to accommodate embroidery spool bases, because having wood holders adds such a nice rustic aesthetic to my sewing area. Instead of 9 pegs per row, space it out to only have 8 per row and it would be PERFECT for embroidery spools to use.I do a lot of machine embroidery so most of my thread tends to come from embroidery spools nowadays, I have very little actual "sewing" style thread. I might end up removing some pegs and redoing the rows so I can use this rack for my spools.Oh! It should go without saying between the listing info/measurements, and my above review, but I feel I should throw it out there anyway: large spools for sergers/ten needles will absolutely fall right off, the pegs are not long enough to accommodate oversized spools.
