Great for our inground pool cover straps, they appear sturdy and well made. The price was reasonable.

This was a replacement for a bolt that broke off last winter. It fit perfectly.

These are exactly like what has been installed for my pool cover, so worked great to replace a couple original ones that had broken. Note: these do not come with the "washers" they need to be purchased separately. Overall very satisfied.

A lot cheaper than the pool store. I made my own jig to remove the old stripped anchors. Removal is the tough part, installation of these is a breeze. These appear durable and hopefully won't strip like the older ones that used a standard screwdriver.

Anchors are great but....The diameter of the knurled edge of the outer casing is too small to fit standard 3/4” aluminum or galvanized conduit/tubing.Interior dimension of standard conduit/tubing is approximately 21.22 mm. 21.0 mm anchor slides right down to the bottom of the tube.I had to use construction adhesive (gorilla construction adhesive) to bond the anchors into the tubes. Pain in the butt and had to set up for a FULL day so delayed install time.I used 3’ Long tubes because I was going through a deck 12” above ground level.I used a 1-1/8" bit, 1" is better/more snug, but in my case I had installed kleets below the deck between joists where the tubes were being installed and it was very difficult to drive the tube through the 1" holes bored through 4" of total deck/wood thickness.VERY Important to protect the tube when hammering it into the ground. I used a 1-1/2” hole saw to cut out “wood“ plugs From scrap decking board, that I jammed into 1-1/4” black iron pipe. Then I screwed caps on the pipe. I used 10”, 4” and just a cap. Finally used a piece of decking when hammering the tube flat to the surface of the finished deck. 10” is easy to hold pipe steady when starting the sinking of the tube. Then 4” when 10” doesn’t work any more then close nipple or just a cap with wood plug in it. Worked great! BUT- make sure to TAP VERY GENTLY THE LAST 2 TAPS or you will set the tube under the deck height.

These are actually made to retain pool safety covers and requiring holes to be drilled into concrete to set them just beneath the surface. My experience with these retainers is not good. I have had to replace quite a few of them as the brass does not deal with super cold conditions well. Those I have had to replace exhibited sintered or poor metal pours. It is hard to tell when they are new. I would recommend they be made of stainless steel to prevent failures when they are holding a cover. It is especially important to use a pump to keep the load levels down on each retainer.Buying them in quantity is far cheaper than the price of individual ones at a pool supply store.

I read a review about these from another buyer who said he used Loctite Polyurethane Construction Adhesive (Home Depot) when he installed them. So glad I used his suggestion. The adhesive adds extra holding strength to the concrete AND seals out water below the anchor. Rubbed a dab of adhesive into the pores of the hole walls with my finger and some to the side of the anchor and hammered it home with piece of scrap alum to protect the brass. Don't buy special install tool? Really? Get a rag to wipe up excess and don't make a mess. Trim off small adhesive bubbles next day with razor blade. Worked really well. Shout-Out to other buyer!

Worked perfectly. Will need a hammer, 3/4" concrete bit, and hammer drill to install it. Do recommend using a tamping tool to set it. You can just hammer it in but it dings up the soft brass. Tamping tool can be made from an old screw driver or round steel stock. To install: drill the hole, clean the hole, remove threaded insert from one anchor, drop anchor in the hole, tamp it down flush, then screw the insert back into the anchor - done.Tamping just means to hammer it in. Use a steel rod that fits in the threaded hole of the anchor. Objective is to put the hammer force at the bottom of the anchor instead of the top. This is to avoid denting, scratching the part you'll see. It does not take a lot of force to set the anchor. These are also reusable. If you, as did I, buy a new cover only to find the old anchors are all in the wrong places. No problem; just extract and reuse the old anchors. My method was to use a claw-hammer - just like pulling a nail. They popped out much easier than expected.Good luck.
