I had no idea how much I needed precise measuring tools. I was looking for a six-inch pocket rule. It was fortuitous that I purchased all three, and so glad that I did. I find myself doing so much more than with these rulers. Many applications that have replaced my tape and 15” metal ruler. The stops allow for accurate measurements for countless applications that I never thought of before. Having three rulers with stops, I can compare measurements using two or all three tools. Happy DIY woodworker to have added such important tools to the shop.

I find myself using these more than my combination squares, super light, accurate and easy to read. As a finish carpenter this is a must have tool, laying out cabinetry and tool blade/bit set up is breeze now

Assembles easily; has post locks to maintain alignment. Checked as perfectly square. Holes fit standard mechanical pencils.A real joy to use when laying out larger projects.

As you might already know, between brands sometimes and inch isn't exactly an inch. These rulers match my DeWalt measuring tape and my calipers say they are dead on. Quality of construction isn't bad, but I imagine a "name brand" would be machined smoother. For the most part I use these to measure something, lock in the measurement, and then just use to repeat that measurement.

Pros:1. Well built2. Number scale are decently etched3. Three come in a package for the price of a 1/3 of the other red bird brandCons:1. All three pieces are out of square. I loosened the clamps thingy, try to readjust and nope. Still slightly out of square (see 1st pic)2. Scale is off about a 64th on all pieces when compared to each other (see 2nd pic). This affects if you use different tools at different stations.3. They are pretty thin. About 1/8 anodized aluminum so I'm not sure how durable against drops and slight bends they are
