Newborn babies have only a limited ability to regulate their body temperature. This luxuriously soft baby gown made of pure Merino wool naturally regulates baby's body temperature, so baby won't overheat or wake up cold. It acts as a buffer against changing room temperatures and helps keep baby warm when her/his environment is cold and comfortably cool when it’s hot.

Medical studies have shown that babies sleeping in Merino wool settle more quickly, wake and cry less, and sleep longer. Significantly finer than other types of wool, Merino is the perfect fiber to have next to child's sensitive skin. It breathes, regulates body temperature, manages moisture, it’s silky-soft, easy to care for, and durable. It is naturally perfect.

Merino absorbs and then removes moisture away from baby's body creating always a perfect sleep environment for your child. Unlike any other fiber, Merino is warming even when wet, a very important benefit when nighttime accidents occur.

Setting the standard for textile safety, from yarn to finished product, this product bearing the OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 label (23.HUS.59156, Hohenstein HTTI) has passed safety tests for the presence of harmful substances.

Machine washable and quick drying. Silky soft. Woolino gowns are perfect on its own or for layering inside a Woolino Sleep Bag.

Cute, easy to use, warm and fits well. Don't agitate the fabric too much when washing it will get pilly.

SoftSmells disgusting when wet. Machine washable but wouldn’t wash with other clothes unless you want stank laundry.

This is a wonderful gown. The fabric is soft for wool, it’s very stretchy and the warmth is nice and dry keeping baby from getting sweaty feet and palms.I would strongly recommend to anyone who lives in a drafty home or in cold climates.Would make an excellent shower gift for winter babies. I will definitely be getting other woolino products because I am thrilled with the quality and comfort of this garment.Oh and diaper changes are a breeze in this too!

The gown felt soft after unboxing it, but after a few washes it started to feel a little rough. I followed the washing instructions carefully and also hang dried the gown. Definitely not for babies who tend to get hot. Also the elastic on the bottle of the gown felt bulky and was hard to pull up during diaper changes. Just not as easy compared to some other gowns I have purchased from different brands. Overall the gown itself is heavy. Was disappointed in the product considering the price point.

Bought this for winter days but my two month old baby already grown out of it. Compared with other garments I have for six month olds this is way too small in every way. Also very poor costumer service. Very disappointed...

Woolino makes, well made SOFT wool products. My daughter in law was VERY skeptical about the gown. She thought, as many do, that it would be scratchy, itchy it was not. She was so surprised, I was not. Her baby has not only 2 of these but also has the long sleave top, pants ,blanket and the bunting bag (wearable sleep blanket). These were purched later as my granddaughter is growing like a wild flower. Yes I know that these are "expensive" but they are worth it. As with all fine wool it can be worn all year around. I myself wear wool all year around, socks, sweaters, and even underwear.

Updated/Edited: I am changing my rating to 5 stars due to the impressive and proactive customer service of the Woolino company. They took the initiative and contacted me and replaced the gown free of charge under their warranty. It's nice to see there are still companies that stand behind their products.Original review:There is so much to love about this wool baby gown, but unfortunately the workmanship on the one I received is flawed. The gown is a perfect weight of wool to keep baby not too hot and not too cool. The wool is quite soft and is easy to care for. I love these gowns for newborns because they make diaper changes so easy. Also, they have the style of sleeves where you can choose to flip the end over to make mittens or leave them open. The problem, however, is that the stitching on one of the sleeves on my gown started coming apart after only the first week of use. I am still using it but for the price I'm really disappointed in the quality of workmanship.
