The floor spaces are molded out of 1 solid piece of plastic so there are no parts to break off. They will come in handy when I install my LV planked flooring. I see them having other uses as well, like stands for spray painting anything such as draws and cabinet doors. They will certainly get used for multiple projects besides installing flooring.

I've gotten used to just using a piece of the material or a plastic wedge as a spacer, but those get knocked out of place easily. Before that I used aluminum adjustable spacers but they were way too expensive to replace when they got lost or broken. These are a nice middle ground even though most laminate manufacturers have switched to 5/16 instead of 1/4.

I’m adding LVP over my downstairs floor and have been using these little orange wedge shims to keep a gap at the end of the runs next to the wall. Problem is, they are tiny and sometimes dig into the wall leaving the LVP row a bit too tight. Not to mention trying to get them out takes pliers at that point.These work much better for keeping that gap from the wall and are easy to pull off when done. The half/quarter inch choice is a smart addition. Recommended.

This item shipped and arrived fast. These reusable 1/4 to 1/2 inch floor install spacers are very well made of strong ABS plastic. I ordered a 4 pack for some home remodeling projects and these little spacers are going to help save a lot of time, money, and make sure the floor has the perfect / consistent gap along the boarder in the long run verses using traditional shims, pieces of wood, or whatever. Out of all 40 pieces I received the flat sides are square and they are very easy to using no matter which spacing you chose by simply flipping them over. The price was fair and for what these are used for they are well made, a strong design, and should last a long time for a jack of all trades like myself. I just wish mine came with some kind of a storage bag. My kit of these arrived in a one time use plastic bag. But then again so does all the floor tile leveling kits on the market. No big deal for me. I picked up an inexpensive pull string storage bag at a local store for four bucks like I did for my tiling kits and they work perfect. Overall these are a great tool to have on hand if you are doing a floor, novice to professional. These shims work with laminate, vinyl plank, hardwood, and other flooring types. I rated these 5 stars for cost, time saving, re-usability, and quality.
