I do a lot of DIY projects, especially on my Jeep. I've wired countless lights, winches, etc. on my 3 Jeeps over the years and have been using plain old wire cutters to strip wires.I finally decided to buy dedicated wire strippers and I asked my electrician buddy for recommendations. While he spends big bucks on name brand tools, (after all, he is an electrician) he directed me to this pair as pretty reasonable for my needs.I had to remove the top on my Jeep and I had a light bar integrated with my roof rack. I initially ran a straight wire from the wiring block under the hood to the rack, but decided to put quick connectors so I could easily disconnect and reconnect when I took off and put on the top.Both the automatic wire stripper and the manual one worked flawlessly. I got the wires stripped and connected quickly and neatly. It worked so well I think I'm going to have to rewire a light switch in my bedroom real soon...

These are 5 star strippers for money. Sure I can find some flaws on them, but I'm a weekend warrior installing an occasional dimmer switch in the family room and stripping speaker wires, so they're exponentially better than using the razor blade to strip wires... They're not pro-quality, but I don't need pro-quality and they don't cost pro-quality, so that makes them great strippers for the cost.

It works great for what I need. I use it on a few occasions at work. Great for home projects and light commercial work. Probably would pay more money for higher quality if I was an electrician and needed these every day.
