This producted worked flawlessly even though the pins came bent. Ease of use isnt really "easy" but if you know what your doing or use a guide for your project like i did then you should be fine. Wothout this my PG PS3 would be worth nothing and now its $300! Considering the price for this item and what you can do with it id highly recommend it!!! Great value for money!

Summary: Works great after you install the right drivers! Flashed Sonoff S31 power plugs with Tasmota in Home Assistant.Details: Even though Windows Update recognized the device when I plugged it into my Windows 11 computer (and Device Manager showed the CP201x was connected), I couldn’t get this to initiate the flashing process. I was wondering if my pogo pins were faulty but finally decided “what the heck” and figured I’d try installing the newest drivers. I went to silabs.com, downloaded the drivers for Win 11 (CP210x Universal Windows Driver) and installed them. After doing that.. voila! I was able to flash the Sonoff S31 power plugs. Before updating the driver the USB device would show the power LED & TX/RX would flash about 5 times briefly and stop… the process wouldn’t initiate to begin flashing the Sonoff power plug. After installing the updated drivers, the flashing initiated without any issues.I really like how this little device is so affordable. It comes in a basic cardboard box with some jumper cables, but I bought some pogo pins (DuPont jumpers on one side, and pogo pins on the other) for my project.I decided to take a chance on this (it had only 1 review when I bought this) because it was the only one I could find that was reasonably priced & could be shipped the next day. I’m writing this review to help others make an informed purchase decision. Give it a try and I’m sure you’ll be satisfied!

This device relies on regulator built into the CP2102 to supply the 3.3V. The CP2102 datasheet says the current limit is 100mA. Not a lot. But, for flashing an ESP-01 it did okay, so no complaints. Just be aware if you need more current on the 3.3V rail. Also, the header pin looks like it was soldered by Attila the Hun. Really crooked. But for a five minute job of flashing some firmware, it's fine. The included dupont wires were a nice bonus.

I am trying this for TTL with various SBCs, including a Raspberry Pi Zero. I chose it because it connects to male and female headers out of the box. The board is shrink-wrapped between USB connector and header. So far, it has resolved a static issue I had with a cheaper SBC and a different TTL device, so I am giving 5 stars. I got drivers from the Silicon Lab website. If I find an issue, I'll edit this...
