This is a used part. Package has been opened Dirt, tool marks, etc. on the part. Not sure if it is any good or even works. It looks like it could have been a new part, was installed and then returned.

My temperature gauge has not worked for years in my 1998 Honda Civic LX. Mechanic told me initially it was a broken gauge, but the main temperature sensor was reading properly so suggested to let it alone due to age of car. I recently had a burst radiator hose and thought best to fix this issue now as well. To test the gauge, I jumped the sensor connector wire to ground then started car and saw the gauge needle rise. That ruled out issue with the gauge so bought this sensor. Took about 15 minutes to replace with hardest part getting to the location. Once replaced, temp gauge is back to normal and working properly. Figure this would have cost me $250 if I used the mechanic.
