It's a new cover and it's better than not having one, but the overall quality is less than what I expected. The stamping is the right pattern and thickness, but as the photo shows the oil baffles are wrong, and the crank seal might as well be paper, it's so thin and low quality.

The good. Timing cover does have good fitment and of good quality. The bad crankshaft seal is not the greatest quality. I would recommend replacing the seal prior to install installing as mine is already leaking. Anyone who has changed the notorious Volkswagen/Audi tensioner or timing chain will tell you not to reuse the cover due to bending on removal. I took the cheap route and didn’t listen and had to do it all over again. I purchased this product as a solution. Make sure you scuff the back where a good RTV sealant is used for installation with a little bit extra around the the cover plate, centering tabs and also use a little extra RTV at the bottom corners of the engine block. Luckily for me, I only have to remove the crankshaft pulley, (which is still a pain) and replace that seal and not the entire timing plate cover again.. I hope this helpful to someone else!
