Instructions are crap. Just putting it together I ran into several issues. 1st there were 4 M6 holes that were too small, appeared to be M5 so had to open them up. 2nd when mounting the plastic rack to the frame 4 of the slotted holes are way too big for the supplied M6 washers, looks like I will need to grab much larger washers to secure to the 10mm slotted holes. Assembly fitment not great, but material looks to be good. Have yet to mount to machine so fingers crossed.

Light duty, doubt very much if it’ll hold up to moderate trail driving. Structure fits together loosely, supplied washers pull through holes in tubes. Had to source larger washers. Screws that hold latches strip threads because the screw is slightly larger than the hole in the plate that the latch is mounted to. Most bolts are too long and need to be trimmed to avoid catching on the extra sticking down. Overall it’s very much not worth the savings compared to the real tilt racks available.

I just put this on my 2023 CanAm. I really like it. It holds my 32" spare tire and the pistons have enough punch to lift and hold that tire out of the way, yet still easily comes back down and locks just fine.Installation: Watch the video - twice. Then, don't tighten anything down until you have the whole thing in place, finger loose. THEN you can slowly go around and tighten everything down. Adjust your lock down points last, and you'll be fine. Start to torque down too early and you'll just have to redo it. Save yourself the brain damage. I'm handy, I did it solo in a couple hours with minimal cursing and tool chucking.All in, I'm happy and would buy it again. But I would get a friend to come over and help. Four hands would make this way simpler and faster. Smaller hands would help too. I did have to adjust the piston nut plate where the piston mounts just above your shock mount. I just stuck it in a vice and smacked it with a hammer to get a 90 degree bend in the nut plate...you'll see if you have the same shocks. That extended tab wouldn't clear the secondary shock chamber, but a 90 degree bend and it fit just fine.It is a chore to install, it does take longer than expected, it is a bunch of bolts. Stay the course. The finished product is worth it.Instructions were good. I did need to re-watch parts of the video where the pictures weren't super clear in the manual.Job done, now I have my spare mount problem solved.

Before I really get into this review, I'll tell you the only problem I had. Some of the included hardware wasn't quite right. I'm guessing that something changed in the bolt sizes between 2017-2024. It's not the end of the world. I have a pole barn full of bolts, so I just found some stuff that did work and everything was fine.Outside of the bolt weirdness, the installation process is quite straightforward. I did it by myself. It's in no way difficult, but there are a lot of steps. Watch the video in the listing. Nothing he is doing is difficult, but it does go on and on. That's exactly how installation goes. Bolt this into that and that into this and something else into something else and then snap this into that and bolt this into that and so on and so forth until you want a nap. The whole thing is quite light, so it's not difficult to get anything in place.I wanted this for a space wheel and tire. You do need to buy your own ratchet straps for that purpose since this doesn't come with them. I'm somewhat ok with that, since ratchet straps vary greatly in quality and this probably would have come with the cheapest ones they could find if it did come with them. I'd rather just buy my own.I do have one worry with these. The load capacity is 35.27 Pounds I'm not sure how heavy the a wheel with a tire mounted on it for my X3 Max is, but I'm guessing it can't be less than that. I just looked up my 32x10-14 wheel and tire combo, and it looks like they weigh around 37 pounds each. Well, that's a bit troubling.My wheel is on it right now, and it seems to be ok. However, I am a bit hesitant to drive it too hard now that I know that the load rating is below the wheel and tire, even though it shows a wheel and tire in the listing.

This rack is an easy install, had no issues for me. It's a quality unit, that's well worth the price. No hesitation to give this a hearty recommendation.The ONLY item they didn't include (IMO), is a ratchet strap for strapping on a spare tire. For this price, it could easily be included. It's not worth deducting a whole star over, but maybe a third of one!

This is great quality, heavy duty great product. Only reason it didn't get 5 stars was because the bolts didn't fit in all holes had to make them bigger so the bolts would fit. Would still buy again as good quality.
