This unit was a simple change and I was back in action with my off grid solar rig. Bluetooth design allows for total controll and confidence anywhere you are!

I purchased this from Amazon along with the extended warranty and when I went to replace the defective item I still have not heard back from the manufacturer after the extended warranty told me to reach out to them first. Just a paper wieght in a box for now.

Not to happy with the Bluetooth doesn’t seem to have much range. My camper has azdel walls and if I’m maybe 25 feet away I can’t connect via Bluetooth.

I needed a simple control to turn the inverter on and off without having to go outside of our RV. This unit did the trick. The monitoring is nice, however I have an app that interfaces with my charge controller, etc., to monitor wattage used, battery voltage, etc. Easy single cord setup. Installation was quick and easy. Nice, simple unit.

So if you are looking into buying a Xantrex inverter, drop the extra money and get a hard-wired remote system too! Don't go cheap. The cord that comes with the remote is plenty long enough, I have a 27" Arctic Fox 25R and it was mounted next to my fuse box under my refrigerator that is near the back of the trailer. HOWEVER, if you let an RV place install, tell the tech where you want it, or they will end it installing it in the most inconvenient spot like below the refrigerator next to the fuse box that sits about 4 inches off the floor (hard lesson learned there). However, the added cost for this allows me to make adjustments without having to access the unit, depending on where it is installed. Wireless is okay, but what if your phone dies or you lose it or you upgrade and then you have to re-sync the new phone to the inverter? Or if your kids or other family members run off with your phone? Some things old school work best and in this case in my honest opinion getting a hard-lined remote that plugs directly into the Xantrex unit is the way to go. Almost all RV technicians will tell you the same thing.

This does everything that you need a control panel to do. It lets you control the inverter while providing you information on status, mode, battery levels, etc. Easy to read and easy to operate. Great graphical interface.

Exact duplicate of the hardwired one on the unit. I was afraid that it won’t turn off and on the unit but it does that which is great. I wonder why would they not make the hardwired one detachable in the first place

We really wanted to be able to turn the inverter on and off without having to go outside and open the storage compartment. This this fits the bill perfectly. I really didn't want to cut a hole in the wall of my trailer, so I built a small wood box, open front and back, out of 1x3/4 furring strip. Made it just big enough for the remote panel. This sits in the cubby next to the bed. Drilled a 1/2 inch hole from the storage compartment into the cubby for the cable. 25 feet of cable was included but in all reality, I only need about 6 feet, max. It is truly plug and play. I hooked everything up and verified proper operation before I drilled any holes in my trailer. One note, the included instruction do NOT specify how to connect this unit to the main inverter. However, there is only one way to connect it, there is a CAT 5 (think phone cord) connection port on the inverter and one on the back of the remote panel. Now to wait until we're boondock camping next time and see how easy this really is to use. From my testing, it will be extremely simple.
