Product works as advertised. I would say it is simple to install, but on my 41 ft class A house batteries are on driver side front left and chassis battery’s on other end passenger back right. Connecting a 10 ga to each was a thrill. Had to find a route and then tie wrap. I barely fit under RV at rest, but did get it done and do highly recommend product.

This Echo Charger was just what I needed to make sure both motor home house and chassis batteries were charged when plugged into shore power. Installation was easy and directions were very clear. The charger came with wire extensions that included pre-installed ring terminals! No more setting up an external charging system for the chassis battery.

So surprised I needed this to charge my chassis battery! Funny how the house batteries automatically charge from the chassis battery but not the other way around. Even more surprised it wasn't included in the build of my coach.

Excellent product that allows my RV charging system to charge the starting battery as well as the house battery bank.

I'm living long term in my Winnebago Navion. Due to use of the stairs, and especially the handicap lift my wife needs, the chassis/starter battery kept getting drained and I would have to start the engine every 5-7 days to recharge the starter battery. Even running it for 20-25 minutes would not get the battery up to proper levels - only from 12.1 to 12.6-12.8 volts. This did the trick nicely. Now at 13.1-13.2 volts. As others said, easy hookup. The hard part for me was running the wire from the starter battery to the compartment with the house batteries. That took a lot of work to remove floor coverings and other components. Ended up punching a hole through the grommet that the parking cable used, next to the parking cable. Instructions do advise 12 gauge wire to minimize voltage drop. I had a piece of 10 gauge which worked fine.Tip - When I attempted to plug in the connectors of the wires to the connectors on the charger, I struggled. Even with pliers I couldn't get it inserted. Then I discovered that the blade of one connector didn't line up properly with the receiving part in the matching connector. I gently pried the blade a little and that lined it up properly and was inserted easily.Didn't have a good place to mount it where the screws would not protrude through so I used some 2-sided Alien tape. Never heard of it until recently but am finding it awesome and easy to work with.

This unit will keep the engine batteries charged when the RV is on shore power or running the generator, by leeching power off the house battery bank charging circuit. I have been using it for about six months now and it works well. This should be standard equipment on every RV that has separate house and engine battery banks.

This was very simple to install on my motor home with 3 wires labeled well. one wire for each battery bank and a ground wire is all it took. Both of my battery banks are now charging and tested good at 13.8 volts. This fixes a problem I have been dealing with for a while and I am very pleased with the results.

If you have an RV, and your inverter/charger does not also charge your chassis battery; this is for you. Super easy to install, it just connects to both battery banks, and a ground. If your coach batteries are being charged, it will steal some power to keep the chassis batteries charged also.

Installed it as part of project to isolate starter and house batteries with an ON/OFF/COMBINE switch, was easy to install and just works. It will take whatever charging source is applied to a battery bank (typically house) and redistribute some of it another bank (typically starter) while maintaining complete isolation of battery banks.

Product arrived on time and packaging was good. I needed this product for my RV, I have a class A gas coach. Installation was pretty easy. The instructions call for installation of this unit in a dry location close to both Coach and chassis batteries. Unfortunately both batteries for me are in open bays exposed to road moisture. I called Xantrex support and spoke with them about my delema. They recommended I mount the Echo on my floorboard next to my left leg and routed the wiring through the firewall to both batteries. The instructions say to use 12 gauge wire to extend the length of wire. For my application I needed a wire run of 8 feet from my coach batteries to the Echo and another 9-10 feet to my chassis battery from the Echo. Xantrex Tech support referenced a chart and recommended I use 8 gauge wire for the longer run, to reduce the voltage drop! So far the Echo is working as advertised, my chassis battery is remaining charged. We’ve been parked camping now for almost 3 weeks and my chassis battery is fully charged.I had to replace my chassis battery at the beginning of the season, when I had an oil change in June, the service center advised my battery was getting weak. My research led me to the Xantrex Echo to keep my chassis battery charged and its working as advertised. If you have any questions call Xantrex support, their number is in the instruction manual.

Installed it on my RV to keep the starter battery charged via solar/ AGM house battery. The RV is sometimes in outside storage with no 110AC available for a conventional trickle charger. The Echo Charge works beautifully. And a very easy install: connections to chassis battery, house battery, ground.
