Bar non, the ultimate controller ever made period. Solid grip, and finally sticks that don't break from hard use. Because the sticks sits on a magnetic ball baring, there is minimal to no resistance, so you can use them hard and not worrying about wearing out a spring. That being said it takes some getting use to because the lack of resistance means you can't rest your thumbs on the thumbsticks. You always have to be in control. The short trigger works wonders in FPS games like halo, when you want to have rapid fire. Be careful though, not all guns (or game commands) like that mode, for example in halo when you have it on short trigger you can't charge a plasma pistol, because the triggers only stops at half way (it needs to at 100% pressed before the gun will charge). The other plus side, is the ability to customize every single button and have it saved directly into the controller for option 1 and 2. Controller customization has always been a mainstay in PC gaming, but for reasons that elude me, when it comes to console development it seems to be a no go. Finally there is a work around that, and that is the Xbox Accessories app that allow you to configure your controller as you wish. Finally those back peddles rock. The only downside with those is that, because my hands are so big, i can only really use the front two. the back two, when i attempt to use them get accidentally pressed by the side of my outer palms. All in all this is the best controller i have ever purchased, and the price might be steep, but when your have burnt through 2-4 xbox 360/ xbone controllers because the stupid sticks got loose, it ends up being better to by one great controller that you never had to replace.

(First, this controller retails for around $150. If it's still early on, there IS currently a bit of a supply problem. That means DON'T BUY the $300 listings. Wait if you can for Microsoft to restock.)I would fit in the "luxury" market for the Elite Wireless Controller, in that I'm no professional competitive gamer. I'm not even that great a gamer. But if you can afford this controller, I would highly recommend it. The workmanship is top notch, the parts are durable, and the controller is highly configurable.Everyone has already spewed praise for this controller, so let me highlight my gripes, despite the mostly-earned 5 star review.- You can't remap paddles to stick directions. This would be useful to me in pinball to control nudges. You also can't map to the View or Menu buttons. I do have an instance where that would be nice.- You can't define custom stick curves, just the default, slow, fast, and instant curves. I feel like more precision tuneability was promised than that.- The "Xbox Accessories" app does not work in snap mode for fast on-the-fly adjustments.- You only have two slots on-board the controller, despite the many more you can save on your console. You will wish there were more on-board once you start playing more than one game or using multiple configs in a single game.- The app feels like it was written by interns. It's functional, but unrefined and a little clunky. I hope it will be rewritten.- The sliver triggers are plastic with silver finish. If you were expecting metal, you might be disappointed.- The main surface of the controller has a "grippy, matte rubber" finish, the same finish I had on controllers from five years ago, and that material degraded to a tacky, used-duct-tape-like residue. I hope the same fate does not await this controller.- Despite a claim that a third-party will produce new/replacement parts, I have yet to see them in the wild.Despite all this, the controller still comes highly recommended for the many reasons already espoused. Many of the issues above can be fixed with updates and firmware. Others are potential issues that may or may not pan out. Overall, I would give this a 4.7 star review. It is worthy, but there is room for improvement.

This thing is awesome! Used it on Halo 5 and Destiny. The controller has a switch that you can use to select which one of two configurations you want. I have one for Halo 5/Destiny, and one for Battlefield 4 which I have yet to dial in. This thing has many customization features, you can read the spec sheet. You download the 'Xbox Accessories' app from the msft store and use it to configure and save the config to your controller. The left and right sticks are very solidly built and the configuration app allows you to assign one of four movement profiles to your sticks. The Default is a linear 45 degree line with movement on one axis and stick motion on the other axis. On the 'instant' setting, your character moves faster in the initial movement of the stick and goes back to linear movement. That's the one I like, but other than that I like the default as it's more predictable. Before using this controller I was using a cinch with game freaks so I was used to buttons on the bottom and tall sticks. This thing is heavier, which I have no problem with, and I like how solidly build this is. The only gripe is that the tact switches on the paddles have VERY little travel so it takes very little force to register a 'click'. I like using the longer paddles in the upper spot so that I have plenty of surface area for each A and B button click I want to engage. Other than that, I love it. The comfort is amazing, the style and material are top quality and it feels like a tank that I could possibly use to fend off intruders breaking into the house while i'm gaming. But seriously, it's about time a console OEM also provided a well designed, advanced controller for their box. If you have only used standard controllers, once you start using the buttons on the bottom of the controller you will realize how much fatigue your hands had previously and how much has been remedied with a simple shift in button location. From a competitive perspective, you never have to remove your thumb from the right joystick, which allows you to maintain your aim while jumping in the air and getting headshots on guys who have to choose between jumping and aiming, but never at the same time... A clear advantage is there. In my view, even at $150.00, it's worth it. Your hands will thank you, and you could even tell your significant other that there are health benefits to using it...For Halo 5/Destiny:Triggers are set to hair triggersFor the bottom paddles, I removed the two short ones and installed the long ones in the upper slots and mapped A and B buttons to them. Then looking down at top of the controller, the left paddle is my (A) or jump button and the right paddle is the (B) or crouch/slide/'dippin' button. :)I set the trigger sensitivity to 'Instant'I chose the tallest sticks in the kit, which are just a hair shorter than a standard controller with the tallest game freaks installed.
