We go through a lot of batteries in our Xbox controllers, but I guess I didn't really realize HOW many batteries until we decided to get these. They last longer than rechargeable batteries we've tried in the past; we seem to get 2-3 days of normal use out of them. Getting the little plastic back covers to fit can be tricky the first time, but once you understand how it is supposed to go it is much easier. These do have some kind of contacts on the back, I assume for docking in a recharging stand of some kind, which is not included. I guess if you ever decided to get one these MIGHT be compatible, though I don't know for sure. They also have a micro USB port on the top to charge, and that can be plugged in while the battery is in the controller if desired.Planning to pick up some more of these and maybe a charging station in the future.

Overall, this is a great rechargeable battery for your controller. It lasts a very long time. You can also charge the battery while it's in the controller, so you don't have to pull it out.The cable is the older USB, not USB-C. The battery is a little tricky to get into the controller, but since you can charge it while in the controller, it is not a big deal.

These have been great so far for my fiance’s Xbox One controllers! Easy to figure out, batteries hold a decent charge, and ultimately (most importantly) save us money!

Having had every version of Xbox controller since Original X Box 1, to 1s, X, then Series X and Series S controllers, the custom battery covers that I've dealt with over the years has me dreading them. These are no different. While they did fit a an older controller and the newest of controllers, it felt like I was going to break them to get them on. Once installed though, the NiMH battery is my preferred battery! I don't like Lithiums. NiMH for the WIN! They last upwards of a week or more with general usage as a Media machine (like netflix, hulu, youtube, etc) and last at least a couple of days of intense gaming. If you end up swapping batteries alot, which is how you can keep a fully charged standby battery, ready to be swapped when the primary battery dies, the battery covers are a PAIN. You will get better at them over time, but initially, I found them very frustrating. If, on the other hand, you leave the battery in the controller, you can plug it into the USB Micro plug directly, and charge the battery without having to remove it.Did I mention Micro USB? It's 2024---lets get some USB C in this design please

This doesn’t charge through the normal usb-c port on your controller, you have to plug in the battery directly. Here’s the catch, the battery isn’t usb-c, it’s micro usb. So all of those usb-c cables you have around, and the one you normally use to charge your Xbox controller, is useless with this setup. This kit forces you to use a micro usb to charge and the port itself is very tight and cheap feeling. It doesn’t slide in easily so you have to stop what you’re doing to visually check the plug orientation (since micro usb isn’t symmetrical like usb-c) and then fight the port’s tight fit to finally get your controller to charge. On top of all of that, my Xbox has difficulty recognizing the battery pack so it’s not consistent in showing the correct charge level on my Xbox dashboard so you’re left hoping you have enough battery charge to keep playing. Why doesn’t this just charge through the controllers standard port like every other battery pack on the market?Or at the very least give us usb-c like every other electronic on the planet. This is more inconvenient than using rechargeable AA batteries.
