It broke the first time I tried to use it. Plus, it is very dangerous. It has very sharp edges and can cut you very bad. It does not work. Do not buy this. It’s a waste of money!!!!

I reads reviews before buying so knew what I was in for. Still decided to take a chance on it for a magic costume. Nearly impaled myself when taking it out of the plastic, literally shot across the room. Getting it to go back nice and neat had me sweating in every crevice imaginable. Been trying to practice with it and i flinch every time. Haven’t been cut yet though!

Compré el bastón negro de 150 cm. Muy buen producto. Es para profesionales, y como dice en la descripción: no es para niños ni aficionados. Estoy muy contento con la compra, además el precio muy barato para la buena calidad del material.

My son was given a staff similar to this one (but lost it) so I am able to compare the two. This one arrived very quickly and immediately we could tell the it was made of stronger material (thin metal but thicker than the other). It comes with a plastic carrying case that locks solidly so it won’t accidentally open. When you release the key to extend the staff I highly recommend wearing the gloves because you can easily slice your hand or possibly a finger and that goes for retracting the staff too. The other staff was flimsy and had issues with retraction and would twist it the wrong direction causing you to carefully twist the layers back into position. With this one, you don’t have these problems. I gave it 4 stars opposed to 5, due to risk of injury but the quality, sturdiness and the case are great. Definitely a fun and affordable item!

My son loved it until it broke within a week of owning it. Not very durable and come unwound pretty easily. You get what you pay for with this item.

Opening this product from the zip lock bag it was shipped in, it sprang out and hit me in the eye and upper orbital. I've lost vision in the bottom half of my right eye, bruised and cut my orbital, and have been in multiple emergency evaluations by retina specialists in the last week. This product has inertia; one side is a ball, the other is a sheet metal edge. I was lucky; even though I was hit by the sheet metal end instead of the ball end, it did not slice off the front half of my eye. It's unknown at this time if I will get my vision back. This is too dangerous to be sold. I was merely opening the packaging and this happened. This will no doubt cause very disturbing eye injuries and not be allowed to be sold once the casualties build up. It's danger is increased by the fact that people will instinctively look down the axis center of the cylinder, inadvertently aiming the launch vector directly at their eye.Do not buy this for anyone.

Great product. Exactly as described. I got the 150cm model which is more of a pocket staff than pocket cane but I'm not complaining. The gloves are cheap but a nice bonus and they help while you're learning. The videos are very helpful. I thought I broke mine but luckily they have a video just for that and I was able to fix it in about 30 seconds. Please do be warned mine came open in shipping. Lucking it was in a clear plastic bag inside a clear plastic box so I was able to see it and fix it while it was in the bag but just make sure you check before you open the bag so you don't get a nasty surprise.

Not bad for the price! I like that it comes with the gloves and instructional videos so you can handle the item properly to avoid any damage or hurting yourself. Its not the strongest metal where you can use it as an actual weapon- but not as flimsy as I thought it would be either. You do have to practice with it a bit to learn how to open and close- but overall its pretty cool.
