If power is out i can plug my generator in and power the house. Be sure to have a disconnect set up on main power panel, so u only power ur house.Its plastic, so u need to have ur wires exactly the same length. Makes it easy to assemble.

Good quality. #8AWG cable was compatible with this connector. A bit of nylon flash in the way when first inserting into generator inlet. Now, easy enough to plug in and makes a solid connection. Weather protection is good. Priced well.
