Fits perfectly in 2nd gen Nissan Frontier blank switch location. I used this switch to wire my light bar to my high beams. When I flip the switch up the light bar comes on with the high beams, when it's flipped in the middle the light bar is off, and when it's flipped down the light bar is on independently. Only con is the bottom light stays on all the time, but I don't think it's enough to drain the battery so no big deal.

4 stars for installation only because I had to shave off some plastic on the dashboard cut out for fitting. Otherwise the switch is working as advertised.

There are 4 pins on the back - input (positive voltage), output1, output2, and ground. The LEDs are designed to work in that way. You have to use the common as positive voltage input if you want the LEDs to work correctly. The other way to use a SPDT switch is by having a common output with 2 different inputs, which is how I wanted to use it, but unfortunately this unit does not work correctly in that fashion. If you try to do that, one or more of the LEDs will be illuminated all the time, and they will not reflect the direction you have pushed the switch. In my case that means they'll cause parasitic drain. So, I opened it, removed, the circuit board, and threw it away. Now it's a proper SPDT switch with 2 inputs and a common output... but the sacrifice is I don't have any LEDs. Will probably buy a different unit later.

Works great, I installed this switch to replace a broken switch on my fishing boat. The boat is almost 25 years old and this switch was an exact replacement for the old one. I like this switch so much I may "preemptively" replace the other 4 switches on my boat dash so they all look alike. Very pleased with the switch.

It's single pole, double throw, which means you can wire it two ways:1. 12V power to the middle post #2, then two different devices to posts #1 and #3. Ground goes to post #7.2. 12V power to posts #1 and #3, and a single device to post #2, ground again goes to post #7.For my use, I chose the second way. Post #1 is connected to the engine battery, post #3 is connected to my RV house battery, and my beer cooler is connected to post #2. Now I can run my beer cooler while driving, and when my RV engine is off, so is the beer cooler, but just flip the switch and it's running off of RV house power. The LEDs work correctly either way you wire it.
