We installed a larger thin backing plate on the wheel well side to give additional support. The fooy rests are very nice to have. At the height that we installed them they are perfect.

Generally speaking, it's a nice foot pad for the money. Would be a very nice addition to a quad for a passenger.Personally, I bought it to do a custom install on my mother's mobility walker that has a built in seat. Was super easy for my above average skill level to fit the application.

I didn't need to reinforce the backplate like others had. Like other reviews said, the bolts it comes with are ridiculously long. After mounted they serve their purpose well. They are durable enough to be a step up instead if just a foot rest. They fold up to be less in the way of items you might carry in the footwell.

They’re nice, easy to install just not good for passengers. My feet slip when my husband is driving the four wheeler. When not covered in wet mud, it’s fine. Just slippery if you go off the road

the installation bolts are to long for the plastic ATV fenders. The bolts included stick too far into the rear plastic fender wheel-wells so I had to go and purchase from my local hardware store a set 4&2 of shorter bolt that fit closer to the fenders back side. Extra $8 out of pocket. Other than they look good and fold away nicely. Time will tell how durable they are. Also if you have flimsy plastic ATV fender pick up a couple metal plates and drill the matching holes to the foot rest and use them on the inside of the fenders to provide extra strength to the foot rests.
