My trackball came horribly scratched. They refuse to honor their warranty.Feels like sand paper to roll the ball.Proceed with caution.

Excellent item, high quality trackball (better than Kensington ). I use for sound, light, studio , DJ. Looks very cool in the club or dark control room. Note this is available in blue as well but you need to search that separately . I’ve always had good results with other x-key products as well.

I love these. I have owned at least 20 mouse devices, and this one is my favorite. I have one for each hand - this really helps with repetitive stress. Customer service responded promptly to my questions via email. Great product!

I have been using this mouse for several months, and overall, I do like it. It is corded, which is a slight drawback. Some users/reviewers did not care for the scroll wheel location - it has not bothered me. It has been very reliable and very accurate. The large trackball works well and is comfortable to use. The buttons are a little crude and not soft-click, but it has not bothered me. It would get 5 stars across the board if it were cordless.

As a trackball user for almost 30 years I can definitely say this is one of the best I have ever used. I love the glowing ball and scroll wheel. It is heavy and stays in place even when I push on it during stressful periods of Diablo IV. It was the sub-optimal performance of the Slingblade's twist to scroll and the fact that it didn't like to stay in place that had me searching and I am glad I took a chance on this! Great product!

For how much it costs, the construction of this thing is fairly rudimentary. It's an old design from the 80s, basically. But it does work really well. The most comparable device is the Mouse-Trak. It's a similar design, but this one uses a slightly different sensor set up and feels smoother than the Mouse-Trak.My biggest issue is that the buttons and scroll wheel feel lacking. They work and are very responsive, and don't even feel bad, but you can just kinda tell that it's a thing piece of plastic actuating the button and it makes me think it will break. (Maybe this is because I took it apart as soon as I received it and saw how flimsy the mechanisms are. And maybe this is normal for mice.)The scroll wheel is in a somewhat odd place. I'd consider one placed to where the thumb can manipulate it. But it also doesn't notch. It's buttery smooth. To be fair, the smoothness is satisfying, but I prefer my scroll wheels to have texture. The most important piece, the ball and the rollers, are near perfect. No hitching. No sticking. Big, perfectly smooth, heavy. It feels great to use.By the level of engineering on hand, it feels overpriced, but we also have to consider how low market demand is for track balls, especially finger track balls. This may be one of the best finger track balls one can get and the quality where it really matters is spot-on. If you pay any less, you're going to have a hard time finding a finger trackball that feels this good to use.

I have been using the Logitech Trackball for years. But every year or so the left-click would begin to "drop" items as I attempted a drag-and-drop. This was so frustrating as it the "drop" would happen randomly and a routine task turned in to a treasure hunt for your dropped item. Additionally, it was not as accurate as I wanted. And so I went on a search for a better mouse. I read a review somewhere and decided to give the X-Keys a try. So far, this thing is GREAT! The accuracy is much better, it's much smoother, and after a month, not one randomly dropped item. I guess I will have to wait a year to see how it holds up, but my guess is it's going to be just fine. It's really built solidly. Like all mice, it takes a little time to acclimate, but that only took a few hours. And, it's made in the USA!

The L-Trac trackball is a very fine device in my opinion. It is high quality, smooth, and accurate. It also eliminated the RSI soreness in my wrist + forearm caused by gripping a regular mouse. That said, a few things to bear in mind if you are considering buying one:1. It will take a little bit of time to get the hang of using the trackball. As someone who is used to gripping a mouse to guide the cursor, it can feel a bit strange at first flicking the trackball back and forth, and you also need a bit of time to get used to the left button / right button placement plus the scrollwheel. In particular, drag + drop can feel awkward as you have to click & hold with your index finger and then use your 2nd / 3rd fingers to swoosh the trackball to 'drag' your item. So although I was able to be productive with the device right out of the box, it took about 2 weeks to really get comfortable with it. It is now second nature to me.2. If you're like me, you have your pointer speed set pretty high in Windows with your regular mouse. I found that using the trackball with a high pointer speed was challenging, particularly if you need to point your cursor with precision like I do - the trackball becomes so sensitive, you feel like you drank too much coffee as the slightest movement of the trackball will cause the cursor to jitter. Dialing down the mouse sensitivity in Windows solves this issue, so if you buy this device and you're finding it difficult to place the cursor accurately on the screen resulting in jitters, just lower your mouse sensitivity in the Control Panel.
