About this item

  • Cable Type: RG316 Coaxial Cable, made of pure copper inner, flexible and low loss, good transmission performance.
  • This UHF coaxial cable uses the black heat shrink tube and lined adhesive by heat shrinking to connect the adapter and the coaxial cable. All the connections are solid and attached professionally which could prevent the connector coming off from the cable easily.
  • Superior Connectivity: UHF male to UHF Female Connector , features a UHF Male (PL-259) to UHF Female (SO-239) connector for reliable and secure connections.
  • Low Loss: Designed to maintain signal strength and reduce interference, ensuring clear and stable transmissions.
  • Versatile Use: Ideal for extending UHF connections in radios, antennas, RF applications, and more. Compatible with most UHF devices, including CB radios, Ham radios, and other RF equipment.

I wanted to make a dipole antenna for my 10-meter radio. As we hams like to do, we tinker and modify to get what we want. To an old SO239 plug I attached each leg of the dipole, plugged into this cable to carry the signal to the transmitter, and used its SWR meter to trim lengths until I got 1.3:1 SWR. Then I enjoyed the ham band. This is not a permanent solution for me, but it does give me function now and it is enjoyable to hear and participate in transmissions from across, and out of, the country.Worked right away, well made, and available for use should I want to make more simple dipoles for other bands. It's nice to be able to reach for a solution and not have to invent everything from scratch. Consider having one of these cables on hand, especially if you often reconfigure, tinker, and adjust your radio equipment environment. I hope my experience has helped in your buying considerations.

The XRDS-RF RG316 UHF Male to UHF Female Coaxial Cable is a specialized cable designed for use with CB radios, HAM radios, and other communication equipment. Here’s a detailed review of its features and benefits:Features:Cable Type:RG316: This is a coaxial cable known for its low loss and durability. RG316 is commonly used in RF (radio frequency) applications due to its excellent performance in high-frequency environments.Connectors:UHF Male to UHF Female: The cable features UHF male (PL-259) and UHF female (SO-239) connectors. This makes it suitable for connecting various types of antenna systems and radio equipment that use UHF connections.Length:1 Foot: The cable is 1 foot long, which is relatively short. This length is ideal for close-range connections or situations where minimal cable slack is desired.Quantity:2 Pack: The package includes two cables, providing value and flexibility for setting up multiple connections or having a spare.Impedance:50 Ohm: The impedance is standard for many RF applications, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of radio equipment and antennas.Low Loss:The RG316 cable is designed to minimize signal loss, which is crucial for maintaining signal quality in communication systems.Pros:Low Loss Performance:The RG316 cable is known for its low signal loss, which helps maintain signal integrity and quality, making it suitable for RF applications.Quality Connectors:UHF male and female connectors are widely used and provide a reliable connection for various radio and antenna setups.Versatile Use:Ideal for CB radios, HAM radios, and other communication equipment, making it a versatile choice for different radio setups.Value Pack:The inclusion of two cables in the pack offers good value, allowing for multiple connections or backups.Durable Construction:RG316 cables are generally well-built and can handle the rigors of frequent use in communication setups.Cons:Length Limitation:At 1 foot, the cable length may be too short for some installations. If you need longer cables for more flexibility in positioning equipment, this length may be restrictive.Specific Application:While the cable is versatile, it is specifically designed for UHF connections. Ensure that your equipment uses UHF connectors and that this length is suitable for your needs.Connector Type:The UHF connectors (PL-259 and SO-239) are not universally compatible with all types of connectors and equipment. Ensure compatibility with your specific setup before purchasing.Summary:The XRDS-RF RG316 UHF Male to UHF Female Coaxial Cable provides a high-quality, low-loss solution for connecting radio equipment with UHF connectors. Its RG316 construction ensures minimal signal loss, making it suitable for maintaining signal integrity in communication systems. The 1-foot length and the inclusion of two cables offer good value, although the short length may limit flexibility. Overall, this cable is a solid choice for those needing reliable, low-loss coaxial cables for CB radios, HAM radios, and similar applications.

Good "UHF" connector jumper cables for testing and connecting equipment. Connectors feel tight and fit properly with equipment. Heat shrink at ends provides some strain relief which is important.

These are nice well built short RF cables which has many uses in your ham or RF shack. I use them for VNA and antenna analyzer without any issues. These have thinner RG316 so provide a better flexibility and handling for short connections in a quick testing setup.
