My 8yo found the stash and helped herself. I should have known that she was up to something when its silent in the playroom. We're in a paper airplane phase right now where she's just used printer paper. She scanned the QR code to connect to the videos and went step by step in folding them. She said it was very easy as the line were already printed on the paper. She loved these and helped our 4yo fold their own. Such a fun craft.

A bit more challenging than it looks! This is not just a "fold and fly" kit—it's an interactive learning experience with QR-coded video tutorials guiding each design. The paper quality is great, and the designs are impressive, but be prepared: the videos move fast, so young kids (even at the 6+ age mark) will need internet access and permission to follow along. If you're gifting this to a child, make sure they have a patient co-pilot to help them navigate the builds. Otherwise, what starts as a fun STEM activity could feel more like a pop quiz in frustration! That said, once completed, the planes are fantastic and worth the effort!

These are really cute plane papers. Each one is different. I was somewhat dismayed when I opened it, however, and found no instructions. Being a bit old school, it took me a bit to realize that there are online directions for each plane. I had already put one together myself when I discovered this. I scanned the code and found that there is a video as well as pictures with step-by-step directions. I was able to follow the directions--which had me build the plane exactly as I had already done. This would be difficult for a young child. I'm guessing a 10-year-old who was motivated and good at following directions could use this. Or, any child could just fold the planes willy nilly and get what they get. They are not going to be much worse off as the one I folded flew like a lead pipe! Well, a bit better--but it was definitely nose-heavy and tried to soar but always ended up augering in.

I got these for the elementary school kids in my arts and crafts class. I did not realize that that the instructions are only available by scanning a QR code. The product is fine but just not suitable for easily sharing with more than one or two kids at a time. If using a mobile device is no problem for you, go for it! These are great paper airplanes with cool artwork, and kids do love making them. Helpful hint: fold exactly on the lines, and crease well for best results. Sloppy folding makes planes that do not fly as well as they could.

This is a simple and nice little kit. The lines are printed on the paper and the QR codes on the back of the cover page take you right to directions--both a video and a step by step written direction with pictures. It’s a good compromise between making the packaging and product simple while still providing thorough instructions (I would never be able to assemble these with just the lines on the paper). This is a gift for my eight year old who is turning 9 and I expect he will be able to use these. I also like how the different designs are rated on flight distance so he can pick which ones he wants to try first.

This would make a great gift for any airplane making enthusiast. It comes with 32 sheets of thickened, colorful paper with pre-drawn lines/markings to assist with the folding process.Included is a sheet of different airplanes and their flight distance rating. There is a QR code to scan with your phone that will direct you to a website with a video tutorial. The video is very easy to follow and results in a nice looking plane that can fly a way further distance than any of the simplistic planes that I have ever made as a child.

These are fun airplanes to make with a variety of designs. I like that all the fold lines are marked on the paper so the instructions are pretty easy to follow. The decorations on the paper are pretty neat, too. However, there are a few things to note:First, and it's minor, the papers are not full letter size sheets. They're only 7.25" x 10.25". So, if you were hoping to take the designs and make more copies on your own paper, you'll have to improvise a bit for the slightly different paper size.Next, and this is a bigger issue, the kit does not include any instructions. Instead, there's a card that shows each design with its name, flight distance (3, 4, or 5 stars), and a QR code to go to the instructions. I'm not sure I trust the flight distance stars since the design that is supposed to be the world record design for most distance only has 4 stars. The QR code takes you to a Chinese site that redirects you to another page with information for just one plane. The page includes the name of the plane, photos of the completed plane, information about it (e.g. the Susan plane was named after the designer's wife and holds the world record for longest flight), as well as a video and step by step images showing how to fold the plane.I thought the video instructions were fairly easy to follow, and I liked the combination of both a video and images, however the image instructions on at least one plane that I looked at skip a couple of steps (other instructions were complete). I do wish the information pages about the planes had details like flight distance, difficulty, etc. (these are shown in the product listing, but nowhere on the plane info page and difficulty isn't even shown on the card with the QR codes).Getting bounced around to multiple sites by scanning a QR code makes me a little wary. I don't see anything malicious on the pages now, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't be used to redirect you to something malicious later. Also, there is no menu or anything once you reach the plane info page, so if you want to see a different plane you have to scan another QR code. Following any of the instructions is a little challenging on a phone simply because of the size. It would be nice if there was an easier way to get the instructions opened up on a larger screen.Overall, this is a nice set of paper for some really cool airplane designs, I just wish there was a better way to get the instructions instead of scanning a QR code and getting sent to who knows where.
