Works great. Got it to replace my fork mount rack when I got a new bike. Wish I’d bought it years ago. Comes fully assembled. On the car in less than 10 minutes. After a couple uses, can load the bike in a minute or so. Video on YouTube for pointers. Bike was rock solid in a 15MPH cross wind. If you are short or have an SUV you will need a step stool to load the bike. Need to be able to lift your bike to shoulder/head height. Only issue is the plastic latch for the rear mount is very difficult to slide. Don’t need to do this often and it might even slow down a thief.

I was a little worried it wouldn’t fit my large framed bike but it’s a perfect fit. Easy to mount, set up, attach to bike and remove. Great product.

This bike rack is pretty easy to install and easy to use. Easy to take the rack on and off the car when not in use. And its fairly easy to put the bike into the rack. Used it with my 29 inch mountain bike and a regular sized road bike. It does take some muscle and technique to get the bike up and down.I'm not sure how I feel about carrying the bike on the roof of the car. Obviously you can't see the bike when you're driving, so you're just sort of trusting that everything is ok. A rear mounted rack would probably be better, but until I get a hitch installed this was the only option for me.

Love this rack so much I got a second! Kids getting too big to hang all the bikes off the back so had to get a second to lighten the load on the back of the car. Works great easy to load and secure bike!

I wasn't sure if I wanted a roof rack or not. I have a fairly heavy mountain bike and was going to have to load it on top of an SUV so it's a pretty high lift. The rack was pretty easy to install. It requires a step stool to get my bike high enough to load it but it is fairly easy to load once I have it lifted. I love that the front tire just fits inside the rack and you don't have to try to attach something to the frame as many of the others do. It is easy to tighten once loaded and it seems very secure. You have to be very conscious of how high the bike is after loading so you don't hit anything (I hit some tree branches when parking the first time I used it). You can find cheaper roof racks, but this one seems well build and about as easy to load as it can be.

Have had this product for 6+ months and it has met every expectation. I can easily load/unload two bikes onto my car's roof without assistance in less than 5 minutes. Once the bike is placed into position, the wheel bar secures the bike while you can reposition yourself (if necessary) for final tightening down. I have arranged two HighRoad carriers on my roof rack while leaving sufficient room for a narrow cargo box or kayak/SUP. Plus it leave sufficient rear clearance for fully opening the hatchback. These carriers are beefy (18 lbs ea.) so do the math on your vehicle and the overall roof load capacity. That's a tradeoff you will have to consider for having the peace of mind that your bikes are staying solidly secured while traveling 70 mph down the highway.

Brief outing to do a local ride - no worries. Long road trip - perhaps not your best option. The product works great, super easy and has an elegant design. I'm able to readily switch between vehicles (anything with a roof rack) and don't even notice it when not in use. I wanted a full bike option because there is no room inside my car (or SUV) for a tire, passenger, gear and a dog. Plus, tires get muddy and those 29ers are no joke when it comes to taking up space. When taking your bike on the Interstate, that is where things get a little twisty. There is going to be a lot of torque on your front tire and crosswinds make you feel like you are sailing a Sunfish on the lake in a storm. Speaking of torque, my road bike has radial spokes in the front and I do worry about them getting overworked and out of true.

Excellent roofbar carrier - best I’ve ever owned and I’ve used Thule extensively over the years. But the Highroad is perfect for wheel locking and it’s just sooooo much easier to fit and use. Takes 5 minutes to install and 1 minute or less to fit your bike!I bought Yakima locking barrels and added two of them in; one locks it to the roofbar the other a cable lock to the bike itself. The cable lock is more an deterrent so I wouldn’t leave your bike unsupervised but it might be enough to stall or push on unwanted interest elsewhere.Overall the utility of this carrier and how secure it is with pure ease of use gives it 5 stars from me.

Awesome Bike rack. Quick to assemble in less than 15 minutes. Once assembled the bike is very quick and easy to Mount. 2 minutes maximum. Great for carbon frames, as the bike is only fixed at the Wheel.

Did a lot of research comparing roof racks, Yakima vs Thule models, and settled on the HighRoad mount. It was pretty easy to install and when I put my road bike up into it and tightened down the front holder, it was uber secure. No qualms about how it would hold up on the road. One thing I should have factored in was that I was hoping this would be a rack I could easily take off (as I use my car for work purposes and did not want to leave as rack like this attached all the time) without too much trouble. The rack attached to my OEM aero roof rails in about 5 minutes but I was not too keen on having to readjust and remount everytime I wanted to head somewhere for a ride. Additionally I am 6'3'' and had to use a stepstool to get up tall enough to mount the rack and secure my 60cm bike. The rack is well made and definitely solid, just after discussing it with my wife I returned it for a hitch mount rack (so we both can load and unload our bike). I opted for a Curt 1 1/4 inch hitch that fits my 2017 Forester and went with the Sagman Chinook rack.My advice...consider your hitch options if you are going with a roof mount. I thought the roof mount was going to be cheaper (I bought 2 of the HighRoads) but it turned out once I discovered non-Yakima or Thule brands and how well they are rated, the cost was considerably cheaper with a hitch mount. Going to DIY the hitch installation to the car and no longer worry about trying to get bikes up on the roof.Best to you!
