Very nice, it takes a second to adjust to lighting and I really wish it had motion sensing to turn on. Nonetheless it does it's job well.

Not certain who at York came up with this idea but a great big thank you to them. My brother had this installed in less than 10 minutes. Easy, straightforward and effective. Press one button and mom can clearly see who is at the front door. Worth the money!

We bought this because it's all we need. No monthly subscription, no memory, no recording. Just a see-through that lets us push the button and see through the door. I have the tools for installation, which was not at all difficult. If you want something fancy, and you need to pay someone to install whatever other device you buy, be prepared to spend several hundred dollars. If what you want it basic, "show me who's on the other side of the door," this is a good product for you.

Ho letto varie recensioni su questo spioncino normale (cioè senza wifi, senza IR, senza microfono né altoparlante) alcuni danno recensioni negative, e sinceramente non capisco il perché. E' semplice, è vero, non ha fronzoli, ma si monta in un attimo se si ha un po' di manualità. La parte esterna è praticamente identica allo spioncino normale che avevo prima, pertanto non dà nell'occhio presentandosi fuori come uno spioncino normale. Certo rispetto a quelli più costosi fa solo il suo lavoro, cioè ci mostra chi è davanti alla porta, ed è quello che ci interessa. Quelli più costosi e con tanti ammennicoli a volte hanno vari problemi di connessione o altro. Questo, con due sole pile da 1,5 volte appena si preme il pulsante mostra l'immagine. A me basta così e avanza: per quello che l'ho pagato fa degnamente il suo lavoro. La visuale è buona e lo schermo va bene così: non è un maxischermo cinematografico, ma fa quello che serve.

My little Mommy is now too short to see out her peephole at the Senior Apartments. Got this as it is easy to use & is not connected to her wifi so she is not disturbed by notifications each time someone walks up & down her hallway. She has had it awhile now & it works great!

The best part of the Yale security digital door viewer is that it is just a door viewer, and not a camera. There aren't many of these type viewers available. Scope type peep holes no longer are a great option for us because their height placement in the door won’t work for everyone in the family. Also, they aren’t great for bad eyesight. Door cameras we’ve had in the past go through batteries like crazy, and often have just quit working properly. We have no window near the front door, and the doorbell faces sideways (so Ring type doorbell cameras don’t work for us). So, I wanted to try out this viewer.The screen is a good size, and shows a pretty clear picture. The unit was easy to place into my existing door peep hole, although previously I had a somewhat U.S. standard 12mm hole, and this requires a 14mm hole. So, a bit of drilling was required. I didn’t have any problems with the wire during install, as other reviewers have described. But I found that installation did require two people, because as I tightened the unit to the door, it would rotate the camera lens, which rotated the image on the viewer’s screen. Once I got my spouse involved, however, install went pretty smoothly. I appreciate that you can replace the batteries without taking the viewer off the door. There is a small battery access port on top of the unit. The two required AAA batteries came with the unit, which was nice.Weaknesses: the unit feels light and a bit cheap. Also, when our entranceway is backlit with sunlight, a person’s face is not clear - almost a silhouette. But at night, with our front door light lit, the image is quite good and a person’s face very clear.All in all, I’m pleased with the unit.

The viewer seemed to work well when I connected the wires and saw the clarity on the screen. However, the problem was that the bracket that holds to viewer to the inside of the door was missing. :-(I had to return the item.

I bought this for a family member to replace their glass peep-hole viewer and add some extra security.Brilliant decision. They love it, and so do I. It provides a clear picture and has a really simple, no fuss operation - one button to show and hide the screen. For the price, you can't go wrong, and Yale make sturdy stuff. I'll be getting one myself.Quality - Great. Shows clearly all the identifiable features you need to see, in day and night. It does not have IR LEDS so it's not night vision, but provided the area is lit well enough, you'll see whoever is behind the door. If you have a light right next to the camera at night, it may struggle to correctly expose the image but that's to be expected from such a small sensor.Operation - you press the sole large button on the back to show the image for around 10 to 15 seconds, after which the screen goes black. Press it each time you need it. It's instant on, no lag time for the picture to show.Battery - 2 AAA. installed a month now, daily use and still running on the first set. Cant say how long they will last, but that's good enough for me. Add in rechargeable cells, and no issues here.Simple installation - take out old peephole, adjust size of door hole if needed (this one was just shy of the 14mm adaptor, so it needed a bit of expansion), drop in the right sized adaptor (provided), install the bracket on the rear of the door and that's essentially it. The camera connects to the rear module by a thin cable and locks into the bracket which is screwed into the door - so no one is pinching it. The unit is kept secure on the door by a locking lug.Overall, I cannot fault the product, and the price is great value considering the other products out there that are from far less reputable brands.Just a word of caution for those who think this is a recorder - it's not. It's a digital peep hole replacement, instant on. If you want internet-enabled features, look elsewhere and bump up the budget!

I found it easy to install. The function of just manually clicking a button when someone is at the door is simple but works for me. It can only be used in daylight hours as no IR so in order to get a picture outside at night you will need a bright light illuminating the area. Also I had limited space in where I could install it and it can only be mounted horizontally. It is mounted via a fixed mount in the middle of the device so mine has to overhang the door a little but still looks ok. Would have been good if it could be mounted portrait but overall a good purchase and useful.

Si monta facilmente, le batterie sono standard, e il piccolo cavetto flat che esce dalla micro camera é stato migliorato rispetto alla versione precedente. Il display non é grandissimo, ma la versione col display più esteso ha una differenza di prezzo (a mio parere) ingiustificata. Quindi questa versione é un buon compromesso tra costi e prestazioni. Vediamo quanto dura... La versione precedente si é rotta dopo tre anni .... vi farò sapere se questa resiste di più
