Honestly, it's not bad. Well made, typical Yamaha quality materials and construction. But, it's much bulkier than the Leather Specialties guards, and adds quite a bit of girth to the grip of the instrument. Also, it's not quite clear which Yamaha this is designed to fit. I've tried it on an old Paxman 70 (fits fine), and my Hill Geyer (barely workable).
