Pros: Fairly easy to learn for a frisbee player. Travels far and looks really cool.Cons: A few small scrapes when it landed in a track (throwing on a football field) and some noticeable chips when it collided with a telephone wire at a high speed.

I ordered a boomerang. What I got was a bent stick. I have had numerous boomerang in my life. Very high ratings from boomerang, was expecting a keeper. NOT!!!!!!!!! I am well experienced with throwing and tuning a boomerang. This thing I was not able to throw and have it return. Tried tuning it to no avail. Worst boomerang ever owned. Not sure I would ever buy anything from Colorado Boomerang again.Had to sand the entire boomerang to fix air foil. Additionally had to steam the boomerang to fix both leading and trailing arm to fix lift. After doing all adjustment I am now able to get the boomerang to return. If you are savvy with the science of boomerang or do not wish to do extensive adjustment to wooden boomerang, it would be hoove you to get a polypropylene boomerang. They are easier to fine tune and air foil is more consistently reliable since they are injection molded.

I bought 2 'rangs from Colorado Boomerangs; the Kilauea Tri-Blade and the Yanaki Sports Boomerang and found both to be poor performers. The root problem is that both really aren't finished. The undersides are very rough wood that has been quickly coated with a clear finish. The tops are loosely spray painted in designs that look better in the seller photos than they do in real life but it does make them easy to find. The tops aren't as rough as the bottoms but when I got mine the sprayed coatings didn't feel fully cured making them feel sticky in the hand. Because of these poor finishes both 'rangs fly only slightly better than a brick. I ended up sanding and refinishing my boomerangs with polyurethane and they fly much better. Also, I think these 'rangs are slightly too small for the thickness of the wood which seems to also hurt their performance. Overall, not worth the money but I'm also troubled by people new to boomerangs who will be forever turned off the sport/recreation by these sub-par products.

Very Nice. Works wonderfully and very sturdy. On a day with the proper wind conditions it comes right back to you. Got this for my 12 year old and she enjoys it. I often take some turns in throwing it with her.

WOW, I have never thrown a Boomerang before yet it was what my son was asking for as a Christmas gift. I decided to buy a few, from plastic to wood, short range to long range. I will state this is not suitable for my son or kids probably under 11-12 as it requires a good throw. My review is five stars because i bought it for my son but I love it. It requires an open are, although I found a path between my trees, around the house, and returns next to my neighbors house and back around the back yard to me. I do not advise doing this as it was trial and error and could have damaged something. But man is it neat, it flies well and probably makes a circle with a diameter of 40-50 yards. It has had some crashes from not throwing in open areas and is very resilient for being real wood. I highly recommend.

Watching this thing float in the air and describe a circle above your head is one of the most strange feelings I have experienced. It is just fascinating.My son ordered this boomerang for his birthday, and it's been tons of fun ever since. It is great exercise, first of all, but also a very challenging sport. After several tries, and a couple of rescues from a nearby tree, we are starting to get the hang of it. The trick is to use it on a windy day, just like if you were flying a kite. You throw it at an angle, into oncoming wind, and the wind will carry it back to you. It's an amazing thing to watch.Use it on a windy day, this is a wind sport. Look for an area with no nearby trees. There are many videos available if you need guidance.

First let me just say that boomerangs got me back into shape. I wasn't looking to get in shape by getting a hobby. I was just looking to get into a hobby I thought would be fun. Fast forward to now and the entire family has got into great shape! Wife has never looked better! Kids love going out to play as a family.High quality. Awesome novice to intermediate transition boomerang and perfect step up from novice level boomerangs. It has a HUGE flight pattern though compared to quality novice boomerangs, so make sure you are in a soccer/baseball/football field. Highly predictable pattern once you get used to the technique adjustment coming from a novice level boomerang.Very satisfied with the smoothness of the finish. Highly recommended!

My 11 year old son purchased this boomerang. He loves it.We went to a wide open area to practice. It took about15 throws before he caught one. The booklet is veryhelpful. He is hooked on his boomerang!
