This yarn storage bag has numerous features which improve quality of life for the fibrecrafter who uses it, including grooves for the yarn to slide through smoothly while in use, and a variety of zipper compartments. It's made of a heavy quilted cotton fabric with a batting lining in between the inner and outer cotton layers. This makes it very durable and slightly waterproof, protecting the project inside the bag.It's also HUGE, with space for many skeins of yarn. There's easily enough room to fit enough skeins to make an entire queen size blanket or afghan. If you're working on a somewhat smaller project, the project itself would also have room to fit, not just the yarn being used.The fabric design is very reminiscent of Vera Bradley brand products, but at a much friendlier price point. Makes a stellar gift!

I'm a pretty thrifty person so I'm always creating things out of what I have around the house. As far as crocheting goes, I was previously using smaller cardboard boxes that I would cut holes into the top of and tape closed with the yarn I was using inside. After so many boxes and spending all that time making them over and over, I decided it was time for something more sustainable. When I saw this bag with the slots in the top, the slats to serve as dividers and even the crochet hook storage pocket on the outside, I thought it looked like it would be just about perfect. I was not wrong. I chose the blue paisley patterned bag and I'm an so stoked over it. Its got hand carrying handles as well as an over the shoulder strap which I like because it makes carrying my yarn projects around easily. Have you ever tried to grab a shoulder strap in your hand to move a bag? It can be really awkward. So, right now, I've got the four colors of yarn I'm alternating between to create granny squares I'm gonna use to make a blanket that are tucked into the outside and my finished squares are stacking up in the center of the bag. I don't need to change hooks but the side pouch is great for storing a pair of scissors and my needle to sew my yarn ends in as I go along. I've got everything I need all right together. It's really great.

I really like this soft side bag for carrying whatever needlework project I'm working on. Currently I have knitting, embroidery, and a large cross-stitch project going. I can just grab the bag and choose which one I want to work on at that moment. There's plenty of room inside for my thread box, patterns, hoops, and needed supplies. The removable dividers make it easy to organize how you want. Even thoughthis is a good size bag, and large yarn project eventually will not fit. The grommets and slits at the top are a good idea, but it's hard to get a large skein or ball of yarn through there. For me a flap with a zipper or Velcro and then grommets would be easier. The outside pocket lays down flat and holds my crochet hooks (and rug latch hook) upright in elastic bands. There's a zipper pocket to hold small loose items (like stitch markers) and open pockets for whatever you want to fit in there (for me, it's pens, notepad, scissors and reading glasses.) The lay down portion has six pockets, four narrow ones with two wider ones on top of them. It would be easy for things to fall out of these. Also, knitting needles are too long to close the zipper (but they work if you don't mind them sticking out at the end or top. It zips from both sides.) The circular needles do wedge into the pocket and stay secure. My current cross-stitch is too large for the bag, but the zipper holds it secure enough. Overall, this is a great help for keeping these crafting supplies organized, and I'm sure it would work for many other types of supplies and projects.

This bag was bigger than I thought it would be but I like nice surprises. Since I don't crochet or knit anymore I wasn't sure what craft to use this for but i decided to use it for my sewing. On some sewing machines, I know on the brother ones, they have that part that detaches from the machine so you can sew a sleeve or hem with more ease, well that part that detaches fits in this bag, I was surprised, finally somewhere to put that piece when not in use. I can fit the foot pedal, the cords, some sewing patterns, the thread and bobbin cases, and more all fit in this bag. The outside zippered pocket has deep pockets on one side for crochet hooks or tube turners the other side has a zippered pocket for the sewing needles and more deep pockets for thread oil, screwdrivers, and all the other sewing/yarn craft tools you need. There is a foam insert to hold your yarn secure and there are two long holes at the top to pull your yarn through if you want to use the bag for what its been made for, I pulled the insert out and just use it as a big case I cant do anything about the holes in the top but they're not a bother and the way they're sewn they look nice and I don't have to open the case to drop something in it. This is very well made bag and I like the quilted material, the colors are bright and clear. The handles on this bag seem to be able to handle a good amount of weight. I was amazed when I picked up the bag after I filled it up and it didn't seem as heavy as I thought it would be, it was well balanced and it didn't feel like something was going to let go. there is also another strap for carrying over your shoulder. I feel It was worth the price for as much as I can fit in it.
