Must be disassembled before this carb will work on a 600 Grizzly. It came with the 158 main jet installed and it was too lean. There were smaller 150 and 155 jets in the box, I guess for smaller displacement motors. Couldn’t even get it in gear with all the backfiring. Unusable junk! Took off the bowl and measured the 3 jets and found that the main is undersized. Put the main jet(and the long brass piece with the 6 holes that the main jet screws into) in from the old carb and it runs like a champ now. I don’t know what size the OEM main jet is but it is bigger than the 158. How does this thing get all these good reviews because it wouldn’t even run my 2000 grizzly 600 past idle? Most people would not be able to figure all this out to take the carb apart and put in the main jet even though it’s only four screws. Oh yeah, the intake side of this carb is larger than the OEM carburetor so the rubber boot to the air filter box does not fit unless you heat it up with a heat gun and force it on. It took me a good 20 minutes to get the boot on.

I haven't used it yet, but the quality looks good. Purchased to have a spare in the woods.

Easy enough to install. Didn't change any jets kept as is out of the box. The air intake is a little big so I had to heat the hose up to slip it on. Started up and runs good. We'll see when we take it to the mountains here in a week.

Bought this as I can't find an original MIkuni. It's a direct replacement, bolts right on with no modifications. They're supplied with 2 additional jets, but there are no markings on them that I can see, so I'm not sure if they're just intended as replacement or are different sizes for tuning. As installed on a Grizzly 600 the carb was jetted lean and caused backfires on transition. The needle has only one slot for a clip. I was able to tune some of the midrange stumble/backfire out by shimming the needle up. It's a decent carb for the money, will have to see how it holds up over time.

Ad mislead me by haveing the petcock and filter in the picture. I needed a petcock that’s why I purchased this one. Only came with the carb and gas filter. It’s a-lot different then the original, hopefully it works. Update. Doesn’t fit 1999 grizzly. Have to force the rubber boots on the carb. Doesn’t run properly and blows the carb of the rubber boot. Tried both sets of keys and no luck. Waste of money and numerous hours work trying to get carb on and set up. Idle adjustment must have been cross threaded in and tore the threads out while adjusting it. Wish I had of had this bike ready for the carb install sooner so I could request a refund.

It seems to be working fine once I changed out the brass fuel plugs. No instruction came with it. I installed it in my 2000 Yahaha Grizzly 600 then started it up to find out the brass fuel port plugs it came already installed with were too small. Once I changed them out for the larger jet set that was included in a plastic bag, it seems to run as it should. I Will update this if there are problems in the near future with it.I just reallt wish it came with some kind of instructions or diagrams with any info so the buyer would know what engine size the brass fuel port plugs go to, so you don't waste time having to figure it out on your own...if you can. The brass plugs do not have any identifying info on them to let you know what size they are, unlike the original ones from my old carb that have numbers stamped into them letting you know their size. However, the carb does seem good, and as advertised. I just wanted & expected at least some info to be included with it, to make life easier for everyone.
