Shouldn't it automatically stop charging when the battery is full?

This product is an absolute scam. They are even lying in the description what it will do. It is not working at all. It has a childish design. We got two of them and none of them worked - one didn't start at all and the other one will give only 1 or 2 amps maximum out of a 100 amp solar system. It is absolutely not MPPT!It would be nice to stop this chinese garbage. It's stealing people's time, money and patience. We spent many days fighting with this thing.

It easy to set up once you look at the manual. About the manual, you may want to find it online. While it comes with one, the print is so tiny it's almost unreadable. The model number (as written on the BOX) will show up in a web search for the manual.

I had bought a cheaper one to charge my batteries and I should have got this one instead, much better and easier to use and see.

I use it to charge on my 12V lifepo4 battery. When the battery is charged to 13 V, the percentage on the bottom of the screen shows 100%, actually, it is only 70% of the battery capacity. However, the charging either stopped or changed to float mode. It should continue to charge. I don't know if it is a design flaw. I read the instructions so many time and couldn't figure out the problem. My setting is correct.

This is not an MPPT charge controller. It is only a PWM controller. There are no inductors or large capacitors in this unit,

I wish I had something to complain about, this controller works everyday since hooked up, a few changes happen, got rid of acid batteries for lipo, heavier wiring added, 4 100 watt panels , and like I keep saying for the price I got nothing bad to say, maybe i got lucky with this one,So far so good, and for that price for a 80 amp controller, just that is worth it.So early morning clouds and get almost 2 amps, my brand name pwm controller would show .5 on a cloudy day, when the sun broke though the clouds over 15 amps but by the time my phone shutter went off we got 14.7, hook it up last night. Is it a mppt, don't know. but it better than my other controller which cost over a hundred for 30 amps. And for wiring it will take a 8 gauge wire no problem with room for bigger wire, and better screw clamps lot more robust. All hooked to 3 100 watt panels in parallel laying flat on my low slope roof, will update later.Update1, a month later still going strong, I have a short window for sun 3 hrs, the rest of the day shade, keeps my 2 batteries charged, I use them all the time, I have timer lights that come on, I charge all my cordless tool batteries on them, and now my diesel heater hooked to them, and yes during the sun I get over 16 amps now, upgraded all my wires to 10 and 8 gauge, battery to battery is a 2 gauge, all as short as I could get them without causing problems. Remember to hook the wiring up in the order of the instructions, battery first than solar array, make sure you battery is not on it way out, keep wires as short as possible between controller and batteries, and don't disconnect battery without disconnecting solar first. And Haven tried lithium batteries yet but will update as soon as I get them.update no.2, is it a mppt NO, it knocks my input voltage down to 2 volts more than my battery, which my panels read 22 volts not hook to controller but i still get more amps on cloudy days the my pwm does, so maybe its a hybrid one, but still for the price i paid for a 80 amp controller that has more function than my expensive pwm controller it"s still worth it. and it still working good.Update 3, so Amazon update there site, now better description, so it's a hybrid, still working good, though the some what of a winter Ontario is getting, I do like.the load timer mode, having some led lights coming on at night and off in day time or for a few hours. Was thinking of buying another one, to run parallel with more panels so I don't have to up the gauge of my wires, even 8 feet of 10 gauge wires get warm with 15 amps running through itUpdate 4, a year and month later, still working awesome, didn't upgrade anything as this works great so far, i did added spacer to keep a little further out from wall, as the heat sink does get warm, i do have inline fuses, and during a few close lightning storms it did pop my 30 amp fuse, but other than that I'm happy with my purchase, and I would buy again.update 4.5, if you don't see a solar panel icon in the middle of the display, switch your solar wires around, as for charging batteries you need a slightly higher volts than the battery volts, so you can't charge a 48 volt battery with 36 volts.Update 5, just got 2 100 amp 12 volt lithium battery, change charge voltage to 13.6, very easy to do, so far the value for the money is awesome, it might not be anywhere near top of line controller, but it is better than most controllers that cost double than this unit is.Update 6, still working awesome, for the price who can complain, 3 100ah lipo batteries charged them with out problem, and fully charge them to 14.3 volts (yes i did have it set to 13.5 volts but change it after i found out my batteries charge volts), yes in manual mode, added new photo showing over 17 amps, if it was over 100 bucks than I can see complaining, but I paid less than 60 for this unit, I use the load feature with timer all the time for outside night lights, and I do use the batteries everyday to run everything, been off the grid all winter, so my diesel heater, lights, computer, coffee maker, and a few other run off the batteries, was it worth it yes would I recommend yes, at least the one I got is good, always looking to upgrade but I'll wait till this dies, I do have back up if needed but only 30amps ones.

It works but is not efficient in any way.1000 watts of solar connected to it and it only puts 15 amps into the 12 volt batteries.
