There's something about these particular mouthpieces that I've found myself falling in love with them and then they don't play that well after a while. I'm not sure if the metal is deforming in a way I can't see, but the consistency is off somehow. This is particularly amplified in the altissimo register. The other issue is the finish, which wears off quickly. It brings concern since I don't want to ingest the finish, because that's where I usually see the wear. I own four of them.

Get this mouthpiece period! I have the #9 version in Silver for my Alto Sax and the #9 in gold for my Tenor - they are both brilliant. The company is no longer shipping them with the Ligature directly on the mouthpiece, which I suspect was causing that discoloration issue others have reported. Mine arrived in flawless condition. Furthermore, I did the magnet test on both mouthpieces and it does not stick to the mouthpiece’s at all meaning there is no harmful material in these mouthpiece’s you may have seen reported in some of the YouTube videos. I have a Vandoren Jumbo Java A55 mouthpiece for my Alto and a Jumbo Java T45 for my Tenor, both cost close to $300.00 each, yet this mouthpiece is more responsive in the upper register and has just as nice of a bright and smooth tone. I hope this review helps with your decision.Sincerely,TomCattt

This is a really well made mouthpiece, very responsive on all registers. Used it for a big event after trying 3 other mouthpieces to choose from this was the winner, crazy ! So surprised, definitely will re order another one for a back up got a size #9 but will try #8 to test wasters

Very good quality sound! I order a tenor sax mouthpiece first and I loved it! So I decided to order an alto mouthpiece and when it can I was disappointed because the table on it wasn’t even but I send it back and got a replacement and it’s amazing! However, you need to get a good ligature and cap for it for sure. The ligature and the cap it comes with it doesn’t work that great. I’m using a Selmer ligature and cap and works perfect! The ligature is a little bid but I managed to make it work.

It arrived like that and it Has weird look to it. I’m a saxophone player I know it’s not supposed to look like that.

I saw a review on Youtube on this mouthpiece. Actually it was a Tenor sax mouthpiece. I bought the Tenor version and was blown away! So I bought this one (alto) and was blown away again! I have since sold all my expensive name brand mouthpieces. For the sound I want these fit the bill. Cheap Chinese knockoffs of who knows what but when its 20x less than the who's who brand you got to love it! I am all in for buying American but lets face it. I could use the extra money to buy whatever else toy I want!

Beautiful mouthpiece. Great ligature.Likes:Great projection and super bright sound.Dislikes:fair amount of discolouration on the mouthpiece where the ligature is supposed to sit, not really sure what caused it, going to try to buff it out.The table where the reed is supposed to sit flat on the mouthpiece is itself not perfectly flat. It's Not terrible, it still plays. But I am going to get some really fine sandpaper and smooth it out so the reed seals properly against the mouthpiece. I expect with just a small bit of sanding this mouthpiece will really shine.Just to be clear, if the discolouration wasn't there, and the table was sealing then I would have happily given this mouthpiece a five star rating. If you don't mind possibly having to touch up the finish a bit then this would be a really good choice.
