They are basically yellow lenses that do nothing. They are not polarized. They do not block out any glare whatsoever. The lenses do darken somewhat in sunlight but they are definitely not even close to effective sunglasses.

Lightweight yet strong frame. Photochromic lens (grey) over high visibility yellow base. Takes 85% of today's headlight errors away. Doesn't block HID and led headlights as well, but it helps. The yellow base lens is comparable to my shooting glasses in letting additional light open at larger vision area.UPDATE: Glasses still great, however nose pieces keep falling out. Already lost two.

I have blue eyes. So, overcast days are much brighter on my eyes than even sunny days, sometimes. The yellow lenses make it easier to see on rainy days. And since I live in Florida, the rain and sun have a tug of war all day in the summer. The photochromic lenses help to mitigate when the sun is out as well. But here is the really cool part. Wherever white light is reflected, it appears yellow through the lenses. This makes windshields on cars glow yellow (again, very useful on rainy days). This morning, I took out the trash and stepped in a puddle, then a dry spot on my way to the dumpster. On the way back inside, I could see my wet foot print highlighted in yellow from about 10 feet away. That's pretty awesome. It's almost like AR.They are also very comfortable. They are lightweight, and have great nose pads.I also found they are useful for glare reduction when I have 4 monitors in front of me at work. Much easier on the eyes.I'm obviously getting old because I just wrote paragraphs about a pair of inexpensive sunglasses, but honestly, these are great. I'm very happy with them.

They just arrived today and I'm si impressed! These are great everyday sunglasses . They're very lightweight and super comfortable. They are photochromic and polarized but the polarization isn't excellent but it is present. Nonetheless, these are excellent sunglasses that aren't breaking the bank. I highly recommend them.EDIT: I have tried driving with these sunglasses now and I need to adjust my review. They are light weight and they are comfortable, however, they make everything an odd yellow hue and distort my image of view...not so good. ☹️

Oddest sunglasses when it comes to glare. The polarization with tint transforms the glare instead of blocking it. When looking at something that normal polarized glasses would allow you to see through, these intensify the glare with yellow tint. But other than that, the build quality seems good, they are comfortable and seem to improve the overall contrast of everything else but that weird visual effect from polarized glare takes a little getting used to.

I didn't need something expensive for biking, just something to protect my eyes that worked for the sun and wasn't dark when the sun goes down. They transition well and the yellow is great for extra clarity. And not too big for a smaller face.

Very comfortable light weight, and the photo grey is great! As yellow, low light, highline are good!

I am not a truck driver but my job requires me to drive across five states at all times of day and night. I discovered long ago that “blue blocking” lenses really do help cut glare and reduce shadows. I noticed that when driving at night without glasses the gore from opposing traffic left me feeling beat, especially when my oftentimes nine hour drives brought me home in the early morning hours. When using even cheap blocking lenses the fatigue was greatly reduced if even felt at all. These also help with visibility in mist and rain.I can attest to these being blue blocking, photochromic, and polarized. They respond quickly to changes in ligh conditions. They appear clear in lower light conditions but you can see the yellow tint, especially on items that would normally produce glare, and in any polarized glass, like the windscreens of oncoming traffic. The glasses are feather light and I barely notice wearing them. I would like a little more coverage on the side, just some extra wrap at the corner of field of vision. I am certainly not complaining considering the price. If you’re on the fence, I suggest you risk it. I’m considering another pair.

Also...

OK, first off one should know that all photochromic lenses need to be seasoned to work best. Learned this from the Transitions site. Expose the lenses to full sun for 20 minutes, then take them inside and keep them from any light. For this, I just put them in the case and put that in the box. Repeat for at least 3 cycles and the lenses will darken more than just using them. I found these darken almost as dark as my prescription Transitions lenses. This is better than another non-prescription pair of sport glasses I have. The plus is these are amber colored and polarized as well. The amber helps see irregularities in road and terrain better while, of course, the polarized cuts glare. The amber color makes some reflective surfaces look green, like car windshields, smooth asphalt and manhole covers. Not a drawback but odd at first. This doesn't go away as the lenses darken as the amber color is constant. This could be a slight problem in the dark (the 4 stars) but I never ride my bike in the dark, so I don't care. Add to this the fact that they are curved to protect one's eyes, polycarbonate making them near shatterproof and UV A&B protective and these are the best non-prescription protective glasses you will find anywhere. Update on above after using for several months. What little polarization they had is gone. Also the photochromic part doesn’t work as well either, barely darkens. Because of this have changed my rating to 2 stars. Again, you get what you pay for. Still wear them as they, I hope, are still UVA and UVB filtering but that could be gone. I have no way of checking.
