Well-built, seems like it will hold up over the long haul. Glad I purchased it. Kinda heavy for the size but probably adds to durability. Don’t know about rust resistance yet.

I can’t complain about anything really it is going to work better than i had hoped for my application . My only concern so far is I would have liked to have seen a 3rd center hinge. I am not quite sure yet how that will impact it’s long term durability.

Let’s start with saying I looked high and low and through every single source I had to find a box that would fit a rack I bought for my Polaris. This was literally one of three I found and the one with the best reviews that offered a waterproof seal and ability to lock. So I bought it, installed it and used it for one single trip out to Moab. The box itself is decently built. So that gives you a base I suppose and I can’t really complain because it was the size I needed in that regard. Fourth time I opened it, the severely overrated gas shocks opened with such force that they shattered their own mounting points, thus rendering them useless. I mean such force the lid would have knocked your teeth out if your face was at the right level. So four times in and the shocks are useless, but there’s aftermarket options I can install to fix that. In all reality it’s just a luxury and the lid itself weighs like a pound so it’s not that much of a burden to hold it up while fishing stuff out. The rivets used for the handles, the locking mechanism itself and rear door hinges are extremely cheap/small. They won’t last long if you’re lifting this routinely. Again, something that can easily be drilled out and replaced if you have the tools. (I’m a welder by trade, so I know a lock is only good at keeping honest folks out) but none the less it’s there and a eases the mind. The bin lid seals firmly on the surface, enough that I can run through deep puddles in the rzr, trailer it through storms and not worry about moisture inside, so for that I am pleased. Size wise, it’s true to dimension and light weight. It’s also not aluminum, which means for most general hobbyists, it can be repaired without expensive welding equipment, etc if needed. For the price point, you can still replace the design faults and come out cheaper than others that don’t offer such a size. So for that, I would reccomend purchase. Just watch those pearly whites when you open it.
