Very easy to use with good instructions. I had never done this before and it was very easy for beginners. Good quality materials that turned into perfect Christmas gifts. Even used some of the left over materials to make little felt figurines by free hand. Great value for money.

Comes with plenty of fiber. The needles break easy and are hard on your fingers with the repetition needed. The protective finger sleeves are useless and made of vinyl. The felt pad is nice.This is not for kids.

A good, basic kit for beginners, though I always recommend buying more needles, ESPECIALLY for beginners. It takes a bit to figure out the exact force needed to get a felted condition, and to NOT try to turn or angle the needle as felting, because that will snap the needle.There is JUST ENOUGH felt for each project, but if the felter felts densely like I do, they may need more felt. If they plan out the project, though, they might be able to adequately stretch the felt to persist through the project.This kit is great for beginners because the general shape of each piece is amorphous, but if you progress through the individual sets, you eventually have to learn how to put limbs on the amorphous shapes to complete the project. The instructions on the paper are not entirely all that thorough, but mine had a QR code to instructional videos to assist any ultimate beginners.

Gave as gift to a crafty friend. She reported back it was a fun easy to do project and she loved the little animals she made.
