The background is purple not a dark blue as shown.I have done several of these pillows but will have to return this as the colors will not work for me.

I used to love making these as a kid so I ordered one for my daughter! Definitely brought back some great memories and the pillow is so cute! Something we will be able to pull out every season to remember fun times.

This came out better than I expected. It's a great pillow to pull our during the holidays. It doesn't come with a pillow but you can get one at most stores. I picked on up at Michael's crafts and one at Hobby Lobby.

I bought this latch hook kit for my crafty 9 year old son. He loves penguins so I was really happy to find this one. He hasn't had any trouble following the color guide.

The travel package is great to keep all of the little pieces of yarn altogether nice and neat. And I loved that the pillow was already done, does make it a tiny bit difficult to get in the corners but well worth it to have the pillow part already attached. Definitely will buy from this vendor again. Also having the the color map pressed on makes it super easy to not make mistakes I hate having to count the little boxes to make sure I'm putting the right color in the right place.

Very vibrant colors. Only issue was you needed to follow chart as stamped colors were not always correct or easy to see. Plenty of yarn to complete project with leftovers.

UPDATE: I finished the pillow cover. I did run out of green yarn "Q". (The seller gave me a credit to buy some locally.) I like the finished product! It's cute and soft to the touch. (I'm adding a pic of the finished product to my photos.) I found this to be a fun new hobby and the kit to be of good quality. I will definitely do more latch hook projects and I would buy from this seller again!ORIGINAL REVIEW:Everything seems to be of a good quality. The pillow cover has a zipper, which was a nice surprise. The kit comes in a handy carry/storage case. The pattern on the canvas is very, very light. But from reading reviews, I expected that. My only disappointment is in the yarn colors. They are not as they look in the pic. For example, the sky is purple, not blue. (I have included a photo of the colors of yarn.) Other than that, the kit looks great! I did have to go online to see how to use the hook itself. But the diagram is pretty straightforward on what color yarn goes where. Overall I think this will be a fun project!
