My granddaughters really enjoyed making the flowers and covering the vase. At age 8 they could make these on their own with the exception of covering the vase with twine. The flowers looked really cute in the vase and they enjoyed a project they could pretty much do without assistance.

My daughter wanted a home made Mother’s Day gift from her daughter who is 10. Thought this would be great. It’s super cute and I’m pleased with it, definitely worth the price. Couple things to be aware of: the box says 4+, um no 4 year old could do this without substantial help, my 10 year old granddaughter needed lots of help. When you put the double sided tape on the glass put way more than the image on the directions say, and press the ends of the twine to secure. To get a similar effect with the bouquet I tried several methods. I simply put them in and it looked a mess. Next I tried bending the wire on some to provide different heights to the flowers, better but still not there. Lastly I started with one in my hands and added them individually wrapping the wires around each other to secure them. Leaving some space so I could bend them to form the bouquet. That seemed the most secure. I would say this takes about 2 hours to complete for an adult.

Bought this so my 5 year old could make his grandma a birthday gift. My son didn't stay interested very long. It's really hard for a young child to get the hang of lining up the buttons and threading the wire, even with guidance. I settled for him picking the colors and I did most of the work :-)For decorating the vase, double sided tape is provided and it doesn't stick very well. I will need to use some regular glue to make it presentable before gifting to grandma.

I bought this for two of my grandchildren to do. My 10 year old almost 11 enjoyed making these, and had no trouble making the flowers. My 5 year old wasn’t able to make the flowers but was able to twist the wire around a pen. I helped him with the flower part and he just wanted to keep making more. They both enjoyed this craft and loved the flowers. The vase and colored string didn’t work. The string kept popping off the sticky tape. So I will be hot gluing that on.

I bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter. After modeling how to make one flower she was able to make more independently. She only needed help with my holding the pen as she twisted the wires. I did not have her wrap the glass vase because I felt that would require too much patience. I think some filler paper in the vase would hide the stems and look nice.The only reason I gave this a 4 star rating was because the supplies provided did not match the description provided in Amazon, however there was no supply description on the box or instruction sheet. Our box contained 40 petals rather than 45, 40 small buttons rather than 45, 41 large buttons rather than 45, and 42 wires-quantity not listed. Also, the bottom of the glass vase contained a pinhole opening and when the flowers were put in, amazingly one of the stems fell through the hole. I "fixed" it by putting a drop of hot glue on the hole.Overall, a fun and cute activity that I would buy again for my other granddaughter when she is older.

I was so pleasantly surprised when I found out how easy it was. My granddaughters are 6 and 8 and loved it. If you do this with a child you could probably get this for someone as young as 4. Even young teens will like it. The 2 girls worked on it for about a half hour before bed and we're about a third of the way through, so a perfect amount of time for a really enjoyable craft. The materials are not flimsy or cheap. Nothing sticky or messy. FYI the felt flower petals stick together so pull them apart before you start so you have enough. There's 2 petals for each cut out. We're going to be giving this to their mom for her birthday. I might get another for their room here because it's just so pretty.
