This is almost perfect! The metal “spoon” heats up to the handle so it can get too warm to hold if sealing more than one thing at a time.Aside from that this is perfect. The seal is great quality and makes a great imprint. The wax is a good quality and melts evenly. The candles burn well and are good for several uses.

I bought this as a starter pack when I first got into decorating my letter envelopes. I'll be using the stamp in the future when I have to replenish the wax! I recommend for crafters who maybe aren't 100% sold on this style of art, or are maybe looking for something small to add to their letters. As I said, it's a great starting point, where you can build your creativity while using other products!*Caution* does use live flames, and hot wax, so be careful to watch the younger ones running around!

We love to write love letters to eachother and this was the perfect thing to add the extra flair to them, it’s works well and the seals really stay, I would even be comfortable mailing a letter with the seal on it.

I use wax to decorate my handmade soap bars. Worked great. Easy to use, and the bee stamp is adorable! Lots of detail and easy to tell it’s a bee! Very pleased!

This wax set is simple and to the point, and makes for a beautiful gift! However, I feel like I should bring up two things (I wouldn’t even call them issues, just some tips). One, the spoon to heat the wax is thin, so it may bend but it’s easy to bend back into shape. It also turns black when heated but the spot wipes right off, this is normal. Two, it has no instructions so if you are gifting it maybe tell the person to cut the wax about where each design ends, that gives you approximately the right amount for a good sized seal. It’s not overly posh, but definitely a cute idea (love that it looks like a book when not in use, too!).

This is my first try at sealing wax, and I think this kit made an excellent introduction. It's pretty straightforward--cut off a small chunk of wax (about the size of the lilies cast into the stick), place it into the spoon, melt the wax over the candle, pour it out, and stamp it--but it does seem to be one of those activities where it takes some time to get really good at it. Getting the stamp centered so you get an even edge around the design is definitely something to work on.As for this kit: it comes very nicely presented in a little book-shaped box tied with ribbon. Everything fits neatly inside and looks very attractive. I opted for this kit partially because the included wax does not have wicks, as I read that the wicks can burn the wax and leave unsightly black marks in your seal, but the tradeoff is that the wax sticks are fairly difficult to cut. I went at it with a kitchen knife for quite a while before I gave up, put it in a vise, and cut off a bit with a little crafting saw in about five seconds. My guess is that you could just as easily melt the end of the stick with a lighter, but I like the ritual and precision of using the spoon.Note: the wax included is not the traditional breaking or bankers' wax that you snap open, but a very tough, gluey, flexible material. This stuff can be mailed, unlike traditional wax, which would gum up modern postal machines, but you'll have to cut the seal to get through it, or tear the paper it's on, as it sticks hard to whatever you pour it on (except baking paper, which I practice on; this allows you to just pick up the seal, re-melt it, and try again).

I loved this kit. The bee stamp was very elegant looking. I wish it came with a bit of instruction, I didn’t really know how to melt the wax onto the spoon; putting the stick straight on the spoon and holding it over the tea candle was too slow and it was difficult to cut the wax stick. There’s also a bit of a learning curve to know how much wax to use. It would be cool if the spoon had a handle but it doesn’t say anywhere that it does, so this is perfectly up to par. It’s a really nice little case and set. I’m glad to say I won’t need to purchase it again.

Came very quickly and as pictured here. My only complaint is that the wax is hard to break into pieces. I really like the melting spoon. The colors are vibrant, had no issue with them. The seal was nice as well. Everyone liked them. Please be advised: the spoon will turn black from the flame(but the black rubs off). The symbols on the wax sticks indicate where to break them to make an efficient sized seal on the envelope. You must heat the spoon a little to get the previous color out when changing colors. A very nice product and something cool for us history buffs and fantasy lovers(I am both) ^___^
