I found this item because I was looking for something to use to count Rose in knitting. I am visually impaired and cannot see to count the Rose I’m working on. Also, if I am making a pattern, it helps to identify which role or the pattern I am on. This is a very well-made product. It is a hard plastic base with 15 rows of beads. There are four beats on one side and a divider with one be on the other side. The beads are easy to move, but stay in place once they are moved because of a backing within the case that causes the beats to stay in place. Regular abacuses move back-and-forth very easily and as a visually impaired person that would be an issue. The only issue I had with this seller was that the first one I ordered never arrived after waiting three weeks. The second one came within a week. I would definitely recommend this product for anyone with visual needs . It is a great crafting project to use, and if you actually want to do the mathematical side of this, that would be good too. I’m very excited to start using this.
