The size is a bit small. I got the medium for my 8 year old who should have had the small to extra small and it fits him perfectly in the arms for the length with the tumbholes. Got my 10 year old the medium as well- what he was measured to fit- but the thumbholes for the sleeves will be too short before he even gets close to growing out of the shirt. Should have got him a large.
