I bought a pair of these for my 10 year old grandson. According to what I read, the 10-12 size equals a medium. When I opened the package they were so tiny, that they would only fit a 3 year old! My grandson is tall and thin and I hate to order these again in a larger size and end up having to send them back again. Any suggestions??

I bought it for my son to play soccer. At the begining he didn't want to use it, but once he tried them on, he never took it off. Like his second skin. My son is 10 years old, under 5 feet tall and very thin (80 lbs). I ordered the large thinking he would be able to get 2 years wear out of them. These say ankle length but they are a couple inches above his ankles today. Fit well otherwise (think leggings for boys). They keep him warm at lacrosse practice under his shorts. I like the style and the comfort but wish they were a bit longer.

These did fit my 12-year old and, a bit of a push, my 15-year old. Good for everyday wear (so the boys can wear shorts to school in the winter) but ONE time in a basketball game, and there were three holes! Not able to withstand sports!

As mother of one of those boys who won't wear anything but shorts, no matter what season it is, I was happy when my son asked me to get him a pair of these to wear underneath. Finally! Given other comments, I was a little worried about size, but the size chart, at least waist-wise, seems accurate. I ended up buying a large for my slim, 10 year old son. Not sure of his height, but he weighs 70 pounds and has a 24" waist and they fit perfectly. I thought they were a bit spendy (more than I wanted to pay), but after searching around, they seem to be the best deal out there for the quality, and they were just what my son wanted. Now I have to get him another pair because he won't take them off! - ew!

My son is on the shorter side, but these fit just fine. He is a bit stocky too, and they weren't too snug or uncomfortable for him to wear. He started wearing them under his soccer shorts to the outdoor practices and said that he was nice and warm. I'd consider buying another color since this did get dirty fast running all over the field and falling in grass. I'm glad I did get these for the winter, he really likes them!

After reading the other reviews I knew to order a size medium for my 55 pound 8 year old boy. He has long skinny legs and these are still a tiny bit loose around the leg but the waist band is perfect. The quality is nice, not too thin.

Purchased the large for my 13 year old son. He wears a kids 12. They fit perfect and he really likes them. I'm taking off one star because the first time he wore them, he fell during a basketball game on an inside wood court and they ripped at the knee. I bought another pair and the same thing happened. I think those may be the only two times he's fallen, so it could be normal but I wouldn't think falling on a smooth surface would cause a large hole like that. I sewed them up and can't even see the stitches, so overall I'm happy with the purchase.
